SHS Map Update (coming this weekend)

Work'n on a big update at the SHS to post my most recent maps. You've seen my other Marvel maps in my other blog posts, I've got a few more that I've worked on, plus I took a stab at doing a much larger scale map.... larger than most of the ones that I've worked on in awhile. These should be available at the SHS before the weekend is over:
In My Backyard - 1M, 1RtFF

Kind of a different approach to maps. I think this one has a good feel (and it's not quite as symmetrical as my other maps... *gasp!*) The more I make these, the more I'm starting to like the idea of small Marvel games.
Pocket of Seclusion - 1M, 3RtFF

The idea behind this one was to make a Marvel game that could incorporate 3 players. (Most of my marvel maps focus on just the Marvel characters themselves... even though I know a lot of people play them with the regular characters mixed in.) If there are 10 characters, then that would give 3 vs 3 vs 3 (with one left out...) and make for an interesting game. Yes, it has 'holes' in it.
Where Angels Fear to Tread - 5RtoV, 2RtFF, 1FotA

This is one of the 'larger' maps that I've done in a good while. This started off as something COMPLETELY different from what you see here... mostly just with the three hills. As I built the 'mountain' in the middle, I thought to myself: 'It would be really cool if there was just a big hole in it that you could get to the other side.' And with that... I scrapped nearly all of what I had made and rebuilt it up from scratch, trying to put the hole in the middle.
Not sure how a game on this would turn out... maybe I need to play another 'massive scape war' day on this one and see how it pans out. Clearly one thing, though: Elevation is your friend on this one.
I got another Marvel map I'm working on (using 2 FotA sets), but so far... it's giving me Scaper's Block (or would that be... Hex?) and I'm having a hard time finishing up with something that I think would be a good map to play on.

I think using holes in Marvel maps is a good idea since A) There isn't a bunch of terrain to work with anyway B) They limit the mobility of Marvel figures, most of which can fly/epic leap and C) it makes ranged attacks less powerful as range must be counted around them.
