This is the second Week@Heroscapers in a row that Annerios has been featured with the image of the week. Here Annerios has created a few customs to help fill out Aquilla's army. Oh what fun potential can be seen here!

This one has been around for awhile but I figured I'd shine some light on it. Command Cards provide an alternative to the standard Order Markers used in HeroScape. There are 64 Command Cards of various types. These Cards are used to issue orders to the Armies on the battlefield. Rules and original concept by jbbnbsmith. Card Design and additional material by Malechi. Command Cards can be downloaded HERE.

Hextr1p has been a part of the heroscape community for a very long time and he's just the kind of guy that everyone likes. He's been making good use of his blog space and has recently put up a fun article about the things he likes most about heroscape.

A great time to QUIT Heroscape!
The B.I.V. tells us why he thinks now would be a good time to quit on Heroscape. WE DON'T RECOMMEND IT! But the article has stirred up some good back and forth.

GenCon Australia
GenCon Australia starts tommorow. I know there is more than one Aussie on the boards here that is excited about it. Heroscape is supposed to make an appearance, maybe we'll even get a bit of news back from the convention.
The Week In Review
So there has been a short break since my last Week@Heroscapers on account of the craziness that was our release party and subsequent server switch. But I'm glad to be on the new server and my confidence in its ability to hold up under the traffic generated by news from GenCon Indy this year has been renewed.
The new server does cost a goodly amount more in annual fees but the site is still doing alright financially on account of our institution of the Site Supporter subscription service. When you become a Site Supporter you also become a partner in the site and can upload files and pictures as well as get your own blog space. Also Site Supporters are automatically enrolled in our regular giveaways. You can become a Site Supporter and help pay for our new hosting costs by visiting HERE.

I love those customs, Annerios. They really need a type of figure(s) that is vivid yellow, and those blue and yellow bees are perfect. I pray they actually make them. Yes, these are great main page reports truth! Each one is full of exciting, new/recent, and interesting features.

Image is awesome... But I don't think we should judge Aquilla too quickly... Although we already have an army and a Hero that are bugs it doesn't necessarily mean that's all the entire army is made up of. Moon tribe, Preistess of the moon... Still I await the arrival of the Icarian Dragonslaying Cult, the Nhah Scirh! I'm guessing they belong to Aquilla based on the fact that it would give them an excuse as to why Aquilla doesn't have a Dragon other than the fact that it is an incredibly new army and has yet to gain many things it has missed out on... I picture their main uniform as black heavy plated armor, with specific colors of hood and cape depending on the rank of the cultist. The hoods would resemble Arkmer's and Sonlen's. The leader wearing gold should be able to create a dragon killing aura. I also had an idea for Martyrs. Wearing red hoods and capes and weilding twin scimitars. They can defend the hero if they are adjacent by rolling defence dice instead of him. My last idea was Nhah Scirh Silencers wearing white hoods and capes. Weilding staves with Dragon Skulls at the tip. They could negate the abilities of a chosen dragon by rolling the 20 sided die once every turn and the dragon remains negated until they don't roll the chosen number(s) on the die. Just an idea. Oh I almost forgot...[COLOR=red]JOEPRO9950[/COLOR] ... About that comment you made about The Nine Elven Council... There already are nine which would NOT imply that there is more to come as you said... 1.Chardris, 2.Arkmer, 3.Ulginesh, 4.Jorhdawn, 5.Emirroon, 6.Morsebane, 7.Kyntela Gwyn, 8.Acolarh, 9.Sonlen... And yes I realize that Sonlen is technicaly an Arcmage but nevertheless... I could be wrong but last I checked it never necessarily said that they had to exactly be wizards... Beside an Arcmage is technically a wizard... I could be wrong... There could be more coming for all I know... I'll leave that question to be answered by Truth... Which reminds me... [COLOR=red]TRUTH[/COLOR]. Did you get the idea for your screen name from the Halo series? The Prophet of Truth, Voice of the Covenant? Just got me thinking as I was playing Halo 3 last night...

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the image.
The Wasps are Mage Knight Swarmlings: http://store.gamingetcstore.com/mk-om-018.html http://tinyurl.com/67yput They have really detailed crystalline looking wings that are quite nice. These used to be quite common and cheap, but have become harder to find of late and more expensive than what I got them for 2 years ago. If you can find them, they make a great addition to the Ticalla Jungle. |

Anyone ever see the movie Starship Troopers or the Cartoon version? Imagine the bugs from those would make good ideas for possible army cards for Aquilla.

Darn it Truth! I open heroscapers, and i see a bunch of really cool figures next to aquilla figures. I get excited; REALLY exited; then u mention that their customs. GAH! U got my hopes up!!!
 JK. Anyways, love the picture Annarios. I must say i've never before been so tempted to go out and buy non-heroscape figures and use them in heroscape. Also, Grimveil II, u have my thanks for clearing that up. |
