The latest Scaper of the Week interview is finally here. Apparently I needed more time to charge the batteries back up than I realized, but I am back again with this fan favorite, and I will do my best to be as dilligent as I can.

That said, I present to you Killerlawnmower's uncle, Krugkiller! And I must say, if the lie's about pizza, then dok may have finally met his match.

KrugKiller
-Scaper of the Week # 48!

Who are you? Steve Albright

Who, or what, is your avatar and how did you come up with your username? My avatar is is Stewie and Brian from Family Guy. When I face Krug, no matter if I win or if I lose, Krug can't be standing at the end of the game and thats why I chose Krugkiller.

Age: 39

Occupation? Optical Lab Manager

Allegiance and why? Utgar and to quote the movie Spaceballs - "because good is dumb!"

When did you get into HeroScape and why? It was in February of 2006. My wife and I were staying at a ski resort outside of Wisconsin Dells and took a day trip to Madison, Wi and stopped in a Toys R' Us going out of business and saw it on clearence for I think $15.00 and thought it looked interesting. I have a friend who was into Warhammer and I didn't want to learn all the rules for that and thought he would be interested too. I guess I should have bought them out, I didn't know I'd get addicted!

Favorite aspect of HeroScape and why? No two games are ever the same!

Favorite Hero and why? Toss up between Nilfheim and Braxas. Nilf because he's a tank with three attacks and Braxas for her ability to take out annoying squads like Minions, Rats, Sentinals, Krav, KoW, Airboure etc.

Favorite Unique Squad and why? Krav! Nice combination of movement, range and one shield blocks. Whats not to like?

Favorite Common Squad and why? Tagawa Samuri Archers because no one gives them any love and I have some decent luck with them.

Favorite Common or Uncommon Hero and why? So far it's the Hydra, but we'll have to wait and see.

Favorite Special ability and why? Counter strike. I love giving wounds anyway I can.

Anything you'd change about the game - a unit, rule, or mechanic? Not yet.

Axegrinders or Knights of Weston? Thats a tough one, but I'll give the edge to the Axegrinders because I won't hear the end of it from my nephew, Killerlawnmower if I pick the KoW.

Do you still play Heroscape during slow periods at work? (Nice thread, idea and implementation, by the way ) Thanks! But that would be no. My buddy who plays quit about two years ago, so I browse Heroscapers to pass the slow times at work.

What do you enjoy most about Heroscapers.com? Seeing the diversity of all the members and reading all their thoughts and ideas.

Casual play or Tournament Setting? Tournaments for sure. Getting to meet and play against new people is great.

Favorite HeroScape moment: Beating Spiderpoison a couple years ago at the GamersReunion to win the Tourney!

Another board game you enjoy and why? I really don't play any other board games. I try a few here and there, but nothing has grabbed me like Heroscape, and there is only so much money in the bank account.

Three true things and one lie about yourself:
  • I've seen Motley Crue live 10 times
  • I was a co-captain of my high school swim team
  • My tounament record is 36-0
  • Pizza is my favorite food
Other interests? Playing Xbox360, going to concerts and collecting Starwars stuff.

Assuming you're a Vikings fan, do you like having Favre at QB? How can you not after last year, except for the interception he threw against the Saints. Hope he comes back for one more try, but after that, we have to move on. [This interview occurred prior to the start of the NFL season and Favre was still undecided about retirement or not]

Any Heroscapers member you'd really like to play against? Revdyer. He seems like such a great, straight forward guy!

What message do you have for the community? Keep playing!

Who do you pick for the next 'Scaper of the Week? Land-based AE

Dang, I was hoping we finally found a dok counter. Way to spoil that idea, KL !

Thanks for the nice words, guys.

Now that I reread the choices, I hope the lie's the one about Motley Crue. No one should have -or want - to see them 10 times.

(Just kidding, one of my alltime fav bands)
