Raelin? Terrible...
...or, Tournament Armies played AGAINST.
I recently blogged my record with every figure I've played with. I figure that I may as well do the reverse; log my record against each figure.
Here is the table of every figure I've played against, sorted by most games played.
There are two games from the summer of 2009 that I don't have records of, but aside from that this is complete.
I have to say, compiling this makes me feel a little better about my own tournament armies played log. I'm definitely more selective than my opponents about what I play, but the difference is not as dramatic as I might have thought. The most-opposed figures are really a rundown of some of the game's most competitive units.

You just win a lot. These tables say more about you, and your opponents, than about the units you've used/faced.

The point, mainly, is not to analyze the win/loss differential. There's not enough data here to draw meaningful conclusions that way. The point is mostly just to see what people are playing. Maybe the most interesting thing is to look at what I HAVEN'T faced. I haven't faced Glad/Blast, although I've faced Blastarons as filler. I haven't faced Heavies/Grimnak/Nerak, although I came close at GenCon. I haven't faced Laglor, Skahen, or Sentinels, but I think they're all a bit overrated. The only other "A" figure I haven't faced is MBS, which is a bit of a fluke. |

Updated with yesterday's games. Krug is now officially my nemesis.

Updated post-Gencon. Reverse the whip bumps the Krav up to the second spot on the list. The Silver Surfer still owns the basement (penthouse?) as the only figure I've lost to more than once without beating, but to me, it's my 8-6 record against the Fen Hydra that really stands out. I'm also 3-3 against Krug and 4-3 against the PKs.
EDIT: I changed the sort order. Win differential seemed best for armies played, but sorting by raw losses seems to get the most meaningful results for armies played against. EDIT 2: Another change of heart. Now it's just sorted by most games played. |

Updated with NHSD. Still sorted by total games played, which allows you to get a quick sense of the metagame by scanning the top of the list.

I agree with your comment on the Hydra. I think it attests to the pure destructive power of the Fen Hydra. Also I think you have gotten pretty lucky not facing the Trons. It looks like you have faced a couple heavies which can be tough. In the right hands, both are brutal. I love 7-1 against rats. "Do not run rats, dok will kill you."

Well, NHSD this weekend was the first time I went to a prebuilt tournament without a strong ratkilling option (MBS's paralyzing stare doesn't count). So rats have usually not been a huge problem for me.
The one time I played against someone who brought 'trons to the tournament, he traded armies with me before the game started! What a sucker! ![]() |

Updated through the first two games of the online league. Weird that I've played against Otonashi so much, but that's a byproduct of lots of draft games, I guess.
