Threads of the Week

Started by Oogie_da_Bruce, the Meta-Evolution and Meta-Devolution threads are a place to share the progression of our favorite units as the Heroscape line has grown. The idea for the thread came from a new member, Krrypt, whose original thread was overrun by hostilities from both him and other members. His idea is very popular however, as the threads have a combined 9 pages of on topic-goodness.

Thread of the Week

The thread of this week is not one thread per se, but a collection. 'Scaper spiteofthedice has created the remaining Books of Heroscape for the new elves. The Books of Heroscape provide dedicated threads to discuss gameplay and strategy questions, as well as anything else about certain units.

Event of the Week

This past Saturday, 'scapers joined each other for the Gamers' Reunion Championship in Rochester, MN. Tchop came away the winner with his patented "random army pulled from a hat", which in this case was Tornak, Nilfhiem, Major Q10, and one set of Heavy Gruts. Congrats...

A thread started just this Sunday explores the merits of banning units in casual play. The OP notes that Quote:
We feel the game has now become far more interesting because a far larger number of units can be drafted competitively.
For those out there whose games have become mundane and boring, try spicing it up a bit by using units you usually wouldn't. Part of Heroscape's allure is it's diversity, and using Q9/Laglor/Raelin/Deathreavers every time you play can subtract from the gaming experience...

Thread of the Week

As time goes on and more characters are added, Scapers form new tactics that pair those units that are both old and new. There are still bound to be combinations unseen by our eyes that will impact the use of units.
