Well met!
Teams of intrepid explorers

clash over Treasure in
The Relics of Power
The Map. Relic.
The Explorers. 2-6 Players, 2 Teams (Greeks & Xenoi). 2-6 Clusters per Player.
Greeks
1. Spartacus
2. Tetraides, Retarius
3. Achillean Gladiatrix x 5
4. Priscus, Crixus
5. Achillean Gladiatrix x 5
6. Heracles
Testing Nieriel:
NIERIEL
General Ullar
Unique Hero
Species Elf
Class Ranger
Personality Confident
Size Medium 4
Life 4
Move 6
Range 1
Attack 4
Defense 4
Points 110
Needle
Range 4, Attack 2
Before or after moving, Nieriel may attack with Needle. Defending figures subtract 1 from their defense dice for each skull rolled with Needle. She still may attack with her normal attack this turn.
Follow Through
If Nieriel attacks with her normal attack and rolls a skull, she may attack again with 1 less attack
Xenoi
1. Bahadur, Swiftfangs
2. Greyspears, Arktos
3. Quickblades, Nieriel
4. Elaria, Cormin, Brigand x 2
5. Locksley, Brigand x 2
6. Tandros Kreel, Kha
Special Rules. Wolfpack, Rogue Bonding, Gladiator Inspiration and Taste of Freedom apply to all Friendly units, and Heracles’ Class is also Gladiator (but he does not receive Attack, Defense and/or Movement bonuses).
Treasure Glyphs. The 4 Treasure Glyphs listed below replace those originally on the map, power side down, and are trapped as follows: As per the Special Map Rules, on a roll of 1-5, a trap is triggered. All figures adjacent to trees or bushes are attacked by a three dice attack. Roll each attack separately.
- Brooch of Shielding (Disengage): This figure is never attacked when leaving an engagement. (Wave 12)
- Giant Hunter Stone (+1 VS large or huge): This figure rolls an additional die when attacking or defending against large or huge figures. (Wave 13)
- Heroic Rune (Attack +1): This figure adds 1 additional attack die when making a normal attack. (BftU)
- Talisman of Defense (Defense +1): This figure adds 1 additional defense die when defending. (BftU)
Victory Conditions. The Team with the most figures left on the Map at the end of 10 Rounds wins.
Note: The distribution of Clusters is pretty straightforward for an even number of Players. For 5 Players, one would play 2 Clusters. For a 3 Player game, one Player could still field multiple Clusters - or one Player could field 2-3 Clusters of Greeks while the other two take 2-3 Xenoi Clusters on Dignan’s Fight in the Shade (replacing/augmenting its Glyphs with the Treasure Glyphs listed above.
Of course, the Clusters could be combined into two individual armies, and played using Sherman Davies’ multiplayer OM scheme.
The Giant Hunter Stone is not very useful here. May substitute the C3V Searing Intensity Glyph.

Revised The Swamp OutpostWell met! Major revisions. Revised the Clusters earlier to include Locksley, who, along with Arthur of Sherwood and Darrak Ambershard, will have the opportunity to exercise his Treasure Glyph-related Special Powers on Dignan's Relic, which already had 4 Treasure Glyphs (albeit Brandar's Chests, which I replaced with the Treasure Glyphs listed), replacing the abomination which was the previous map. The earlier drafts of the Clusters had almost no ranged characters, and the draft was pretty straightforward. This version has Racheim, two Masters of the Hunt, the aforementioned Locksley, Kaemon Awa, Elaria the Pale, and Shiori, which, along with the new Map (including the useable Treasure Glyphs), and a few other figure changes, making the drafting process (and the resulting play) much more challenging IMHO. P.S.: Could use a better title . . . |

Drafting Strategy?Well met! If you were going to play this scenario, what clusters would you want, and which would you avoid? |

Cluster ChangesWell met! Made some thematic changes. The units in the individual Clusters are more likely to be found together. |

Major RevisionsWell met! Created a formidable Gladiator Hero army, and an army of Monks, Rogues, and others to oppose it. No longer a draft, to allow for the various synergies. |

Alternate XenoiWell met! Fearing that the Greeks were too strong, changed Xenoi such that they contain only 2 factions - Rogues and Varkanaans. |
