On this most joyous of nights, we here at C3V wanted to bring you a teaser for the pack coming in a week's time. What better way to welcome the New Year than with WAVE 21: CURSE OF STORMTORN PEAK!

For our first hero pack, we may not have the Three Wise Men, but we do have four wise and powerful monks - Yi Feng, Chen Tang, Zhen Yuan, and Master Lao Xin. We also have the legendary thief Locksley - who's still deciding whether it's better to give than receive.

From all of us in the C3V to the 'Scapers community, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 'Scaping Holiday!

It's that time again, and another Custom Competition is rolling at'cha. Hasbro brought us dragons and a hippogriff, er, gryphillin, Wizards of the Coast gave us more, albeit smaller, dragons and a hydra. C3V introduced even more dragons and a chimera. And now you get to make one more mythological monster for HeroScapers everywhere: a manticore.

Greetings from the Codex, and welcome to all our readers. Back in August, we announced that we would be releasing monthly “front page promotions.” Obviously, that didn’t happen. However, there is some very important news which we felt warranted another stab at a front page announcement.

Before we get to that, though, we want to highlight some of the past articles which you might have missed. They include:

• The ’Scaper of the Month featuring Grungebob, and our first SotM (for the new Codex) featuring an admin. We were excited to bring you this article; be sure to give it a look.
• An excellent article on the role start zones play in map creation, from ARV head Sir Heroscape. This article has a lot of great tips in it if you’re looking to build a map.
