Swamp Battle Report

Posted November 21st, 2010 at 10:06 PM by aquamaniac27
So as I type this up, (and played this game--against myself), I listen to Anberlin, my all-time favorite band. (Dismantle. Repair. (Acoustic) RIGHT now).

Anyway,

This is the map I payed on. With my custom deciduous trees and gray rocks.

It was:
Hive
3x Stingers
Ne-Gok-Sa
Kee-Mo-Shi
@ 560 (?) points

VS

Eltahale
Mimring (Jandar-Repaint)*
Finn
Thorgrim
1x Rats
Otonashi

*

The stingers took out Thorgrim (placed on Mimring) both by the end of the 1st turn of round 2, and moved some rats. NGS finished off Finn (placed on Eltahale).

Round 3 Mimring moves to engage NGS, (Stingers all spread out), and Mimring gets killed in one hit from a Stinger (height, +1 from D20). Rats get finished off.

Eltahale takes out 2 Stinger right before NGS mindshackles Otonashi.

SO:
Hive
3x Stingers (-2)
Ne-Gok-Sa
Kee-Mo-Shi
Otonashi

vs

Eltahale.

Elta Thunder Steps, gives NGS 2 wounds. Takes a wound from TS. Block NGS's attack. Uses Thunder Ram on Otonashi, fails, but kills NGS. (,,)

Elta takes a leaving engagement wound, kills 1 whole squad of stingers with a perfect Thunder Ram roll. ()

Takes out 2 more Stingers after they roll 1 on the D20. Elt kills Otonashi.

Hive
Kee-Mo-Shi
1 lone Stinger.

Stinger kills himself out of loneliness(), she gives the hive 2 wounds.

KMS givers her 1 wound (she's at 3 now).

Elt finally wins initiative, Thunder Steps, give KMS 3 wounds, no recoil. Hive fails to rebirth again, Elt finishes off KMS no recoil. Takes 2 more turns to kill the Hive.

*Note Eltahale int he top right corner by herself. No other figures lasted the game.

She could have kept using Thunder Step and killed herself after killing the Hive, making this battle report so much more epic. But I'm not that stupid.

Brutal! Eltahale definitely seems like a solid unit! Surprised she took out pretty much the entire army by herself! Sounds like a great time!
