Elves V. Marro - 1465 Points of Death and Dismemberment!
Here's my latest epic battle report, played on my newest map creation, Valley of Death and Dismemberment.
The Valley of Death and Dismemberment..BEHOLD!

======================================================================
Led by Acolarh, the mighty council of Elven wizards, aided by their Elven and Giant allies, were here to defeat the dreaded Marro menace and it's foul denizen of evil, the Hive.
The Mage, Emiroon, had summoned 9 of the the mightiest Amazonian Warriors Ashra could muster, Lord Syvarris and his Noble Band of Six, a brotherhood of archers unrivalled in all Aubria, and finally, Jotun, feared Giant warrior. (1465 Points)

Utgar, though, had plans for this territory. The Valley of Death and Dismemberment had a history of bloodshed and bodies piled as firewood. With control of this strategic Jungle he could prepare for the war to come while launching raids into Ullar's territories.
The seed was sown, and Deathwalker 8000 was dispatched to watch over the newborn Hive. Sonlen's dragon soared above the battlefield and reported a Deathwalker guarding an active Hive, accompanied by the sinister Marro Dragon Su-Bak-Na, the devilish arachnid WarWitch Ke-Mo-Shi, the mighty Na-Gok-Sa, Me-Burq-Sa and his Grok Riding cavalry, a legion of 12 Drones and 12 of the deadly Marro Stingers.

The battle had begun swiftly, and the Allies had the advantage. Jotun stormed forward onto the road with such force the trees shook. The Warriors of Ashra advanced as well, supported by several Archers.

The hideous Marro Hivemind would not allow itself to be threatened and quickly ordered 9 Drones to advance toward the Glyph that had been inset into the road before time began. The Grok cavalry and their leader, Me-Burq-Sa strode into action, taking to the roads and valleys to avoid being spotted. They were followed by the insidious Stingers, who clambered over the foliage attempting to claw their way onto the ridge to fire down upon the Giant.

The first shots were fired suddenly, but it was the Archers, with a speed unrivalled in all of nature, that rained 9 arrows down upon the Stingers and Drones. 7 hit their mark, and the Hive had yet to bring a new monstrosity down upon the battle. Jotun tossed Drones and Stingers onto the road, crushing the fragile horrors and clove more with his Claymore.
Deathwalker returned fire, missing, but the Stingers found their mark, mortally wounding Jotun but not felling him. Me-Burq-Sa and the Groks slaughtered 2 brave Amazons, and the Drones finished off 2 Archers.
Wounded, Jotun resigned himself to guard the glyph, which all but guarantees the Allies a first strike each skirmish, until dead. Hazy, he saw that the Allies had killed 9 Drones and 4 Stingers but the Hive, the Heroes, the Stingers and the Grok Riders were still unharmed while he had lost 2 of his Amazonian and Aubrien allies each. "Hold Post", he thought, knowing that the next strike upon him would be the last....

It's a fountain. For 11$ you can get a MK Dungeons artifacts pack and turn it into lovely Heroscape terrain.
