By now this pic has gone the Heroscaper's equivalent of viral. It's a giant demon lord, how could you not like it? But for all it's popularity I'm really not happy with the rebasing job. It was one of my earliest, and I learned a lot from it. So here's all of my rebased figures with explanations on how I did them. Note that this is not to show off my photography skills or for people with irrational aversions to glue.
[Image] The Balor. The most famous of my customs, but also one of my first rebased figures. I simply took a pair of wire cutters and cut around the feet, leaving the base under them. I then glued the figure to the base. Today I would have cut the off with a knife, the cutters, or sanded them off. I was worried about ruining the feet. I've considered redoing several times, but I don't have a large base in decent condition, so for now I'm fine with it as is. ... |
