This is a neater way of storing my playtests for my customs that I want other people to be able to see. I mostly intend on posting about units that I'd like to submit to the SoV.

2. Arboris vs Nottinghams, for Real

Now that my friend understood how to properly use Millerson, she was excited to get the chance to play the Rogue army much more properly. She instantly wanted to go against the same opponent again on a new map.

400 Points
Glyphs: Dagmar in the center, Kelda on one side, unknown on the other
Player 1: Millerson, 4x Nottingham Brigand, Locksley, Drow Chainfighter (400)
Player 2: Deltacron, 2x Banshees of Durgeth Swamp, Arboris, Sentinels of Grax (395)

Game Summary:
I wasn't able to witness any of this game as I was busy testing Gen. Simon Fraser, but now that both players had a more complete understanding of each other's armies and their own, I've been told that it was a much less close fight (in Player 1's favor).

She noted that Millerson was mostly used to combat Arboris, eating through his Overgrowth Markers faster than he could regenerate them. Her Drow Chainfighter was an early sacrifice, and despite Locksley grabbing Kelda, Deltacron proved to be quite a struggle for him. The Brigands were able to wrap things up with Millerson.

Surviving Units:
2 Nottingham Brigands in the back, Locksley, Millerson
Unfortunately, the number of wounds on each was not recorded.

Thoughts on Unit:
Now that Player 1 was playing Millerson correctly and getting in more than two attacks per turn, Arboris didn't perform nearly as well. This confirms that he functions best against attack-lite builds that'll struggle more to burn through his Overgrowth Markers, but squads have a far easier time of rendering him ineffective early on.

Player 2 told me that now that his opponent was able to get in more attacks per turn, he no longer felt like Arboris was overwhelming. His single attack (that could easily be reduced with a couple of unlucky rolls) and average movespeed weren't nearly as oppressive as before, but he was still an interesting addition on account of how his stats were completely reliant on his remaining "health." Overall, Player 2 still really liked the unit, and wanted to use him more in the future.
