Wave 14 - Thormun's Reprieve
Coming soon from the C3V!

Valkrill has summoned undead legions to spread terror amongst his enemies, but even the living dead are not safe from Van Nessing, a conflicted hunter often seen by the light of the moon, sending the gravespawn back to their eternal rest.

Sensing that the height of the war approaches, Jandar summons Omegacron, the greatest Soulborg of his kind, and Ullar enlists the aid of the warlord Zogross Hardscale in a final effort to push back the plague of cybernetic Marro that Valkrill has subverted from the ranks of Utgar and unleashed on Valhalla.

From remote regions of Alpha Prime, resistance fighters who have survived for centuries against their oppressors now wage their ancient war on the surface of Valhalla. And a new tribe stirs from Grut, but this time it is not Utgar who is bringing in reinforcements.

The battle for Valhalla continues, with higher stakes, new opponents, and more options than ever!

The M-43 Resistance Fighters join the battle of Valhalla, aiding Aquilla and seeking revenge here on Valhalla against their oppressors from Alpha Prime.

The figures used for this unit are Star Wars Minis figures from the Legacy of the Force set. The model numbers and names are: Old Republic Scout (03), Human Scoundrel (47), and Old Republic Recruit (02)

The sound of flowing wastewater filled the air through the tunnels of District Ten's underground canals. The pastoral sounds were almost comforting in contrast to the violent corporate war in the streets above.

Suddenly the sounds of a hundred metal feet ringing against the stone reverberated off the walls of the channel. It was a Soulborg extermination squad, wrought from the Great Forge of Tarata to eliminate any hominids that refused to submit to Z.E.T.T.I. subservience. Unbeknownst to these genocidal units, their prey lay hidden, well concealed among the walls, ruins, and side channels, unwilling to bow to their malevolent creations just yet.

"NOW!" Came the hoarse cry of the commander. The best of the Resistance Corpsmen leapt from their concealed positions and began firing at the mass of death machines ahead of them. The cybernetic army fell, one by one, to stolen incendiary rounds. The networked machines did not break pace; instead they lined up to begin firing at the insurgent Mariedians.

“Flaw…flaw…flaw…” came the monotonous voice of the Zetti combine.

The resistance fighters rolled out of the way of the fire, and returned with pulse charges to push the invading robots away from their hidden village. Brilliant blue energy tore through alloy and armor, sending the marauding army back toward the canal. Every attack pulled the resistance fighters forward.

But they were losing. The Blastatrons matched their every tactic, firing at every sneak attack with preemptive intuition. The commander sternly glared at the Soulborg Major that controlled the squad. His men around him were disappearing in globes of force, hopefully some new science the men back at base developed. But the battle was nearing its end, with a victory for the Soulborg.

With a roar, the commander covered the distance between himself and the Major in a mere two strides. He needed to keep them away from main base, where the plan for a slave revolt and rescue of their brethren in Isadora was located.

“FOR MARIEDIAN!!” He cried as he placed an improvised explosive device on the chest of the Major.

The explosion triggered other mines that were strategically placed throughout the canal, causing a cave-in on the extermination squad and the rest of the Resistance Corpsmen. The last thing the commander saw was the intense flaming cloud of destruction that consumed the entirety of the army. His eyes closed as a blurred vision viewed a dark skinned, winged humanoid that carried him away.

The Ninth Elf Wizard finally joins Ullars forces, and with the nine united, they are much stronger than they ever were before.

The figure used for this unit is a Dungeons and Dragons figure from the Desert of Desolation set. Its model number and name is Snaketongue Cultist/#56.

"Go, Haduc, this task falls to you now!" Ulginesh's voice was strained and desperate. He rarely barked orders at any of his kin, but as the wounded elf surveyed the moonlit battlefield, it was becoming clear that even the combined strength of the Order of the Crimson Sigil would not withstand the fury of this onslaught.

"No, brother! I'll stand and fight with you to the end. We'll not let these wolves ..." Haduc's words were cut short as the elven leader spoke directly into his mind. The words echoed coldly through his head as the distractions of the battle faded to nothing.

"Your bravery is noted, brother, but your resolve will serve us better if you use it to escape. The princess is lost and Theracus along with her; soon the Stone will be lost to us as well. You must get word back to the Council of Ashra!"

Three days later Haduc, one of his eyes and half his face destroyed by the claws of the Anubians, stumbled into the village of Ashra. He reported the fate of the Order to Bereth in a choked voice, refusing to allow the village healers to tend his wounds.

A month passed. The last of The Nine, his face now hidden deep in the hood of his cloak, was present at the walls of Castle Esenwein as the Warriors of Ashra, taking advantage of the conflict between Cyprien and Nicholas, staged a valiant raid to end the reign of vampiric terror. It was there that, beset on all sides by Badru, thralls, and zombies, he came close to death for the second time ... and woke to find himself in Valhalla.

Now in the service of Ullar, reunited with the Order of the Crimson Sigil, he employs his powerful defensive magic in the fight to defend the wellsprings. He keeps the scars he gained in Feylund, and he keeps his face deep in his cowl. And when others celebrate their victories over the forces of Utgar and Valkrill, Haduc keeps his silence. For he fights not for glory—only for atonement.

Thanks for the highlight, Truth. I love these guys. So much fun! You're all going to love Wave 14.

BTW, just want to be clear that this is "our" Wave 14--a product of the fans and Fanscape and C3V--not something that Hasbro or Wizards are doing. However, I think you'll find that this is as good as the original--and that's because so many of you are playtesting and helping with the project. Thanks!

This is Heroscape by the fans for the fans, with a careful attention to detail, under the guidance of the likes of Grungebob and the minds that brought us C3G--as well as some great new blood at all levels of production.

Are the M-43's common? I see two of the same figure in the picture, but didn't know if I was reading too much into it.
