We’ve had a record snowfall. In one day we received 37cm (14.5 inches) of the white stuff and it has shut pretty much everything down. I sometimes follow weather predictions so I knew it was coming and was pleasantly prepared. Watching the storm through the window was fun and seeing the neighbourhood transform into an icy white wonderland was amazing. Snow is gorgeous when you don’t have to go out in it. Here are some of the highlights:

Leprechaun Visit
Most people don’t like snow shovelling but for some strange reason I really do. But 37cm is a lot of snow and I was getting tired of shovelling the long driveway out when a remarkable thing happened. A small red farm tractor zipped around the corner, driven by a Leprechaun. Well, he wasn’t exactly a Leprechaun, but he had wild red hair and a crazy red beard and laughing eyes and no hat and he winked at me.
