Still looking for that pesky snowbound critter? Have his large eBay prices caused him to allude your grasp? Well here is your chance to put him in your stocking! Heroscaper, Auralerogeny has teamed up with Heroscaper, AgentX-127 and they are offering up Nerak as a prize in their Meta-Map contest. Auralerogeny writes:

"Every Christmas, many of us travel to our families and must leave our obsession behind us. NO MORE! Now, with the wonderful "Meta-Map," HeroScape can travel with us! Now we can pack a small amount of material and figures into our luggage and bring the fun to the family.

During the Holidays, the dining room table is used for it's original intent -- eating! The Meta-Map doesn't have to live on the dining room table. It's quick to set up and break down, and is small enough to fit on an end-table, a coffe table, a TV dinner tray, or a large Lazy Suzan. The Meta-Map...

Updated April 14th, 2008 at 04:39 PM by truth
Well its that time again... A new terrain set has been released and so its time for Heroscapers to mark its entrance to the market by showing off what new amazing thing Heroscapers member Caravaggio has done with it. He's an architect and an artist, and the things he does with Heroscape terrain are nothing short of an art form.

From Caravaggio:

hola amigos!

it's been a while since i posted a new map but i got a lot of snow, found the castles and then grungebob and company were gracious enough to send me SIR HAWTHORNE....!

so here it is, HAWTHORNE MANOR. i hope you like it. (dont get too chilly looking at these photos!)

here's the man himself frightening off neighbors near the edge of the icy waters outside his fortress.

I have been working on this article for a day now and couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted to say about this map and Caravaggio's Map Building Skills. So I decided to let the pictures speak for themselves...and they speak volumes!

Grishnakh's Customized Terrain, Part 1: Hex Tiles

Posted May 26th, 2006 at 01:38 PM by truth
Updated April 14th, 2008 at 04:51 PM by truth

The following will change the face of heroscape for many an ambitious reader. Grishnakh shows us all how to, step by step, make our fantastic interlocking heroscape terrain come to life! He's done all the work and now all you have to do is follow his simple steps.

Grishnakh felt that even though the Heroscape tiles looked pretty good straight out of the box, they still looked too "plastic" and unreal. The brown highlighted the hexes way too much for his tastes and made everything look like"hex world", plus the color scheme left a lot to be desired, in his opinon. So, taking inspiration from Games Workshop and some previous work he had done in making a hex based wargame. He bought a master set, got out some paint and some flock and after much trial and error (as well as many trips to the hobby store and the craft store) he arrived at a procedure that he felt looked...
