...so we know that AoA didn't happen, but @GeneralRolando has made wall terrain pieces compatible with the ones shown in the AoA campaign. That means we need maps and GeneralRolando is running a competition. The requirements are quite loose, and both competitive and more story-based maps are welcome (with their own judging categories). July 31 is the deadline, so check out the contest thread to see the full details.

After the contest is over, he plans to create a pdf booklet with all entries, so even if you don't win, your map should still get some love!

We apologize for the long downtime. We had a server failure and our efforts to restore the service kept getting stymied by issue after issue, most of it not within our control. If you followed the status page while we were down you know some of the story. The important things now are that:

• we are back and there was no data loss, and
• we're putting a plan in place to try to ensure this sort of thing doesn't happen again.

Part of the plan will involve us moving to a new hosting provider. Details of exactly when are TBD, but "soon."

All of the aside the really big news is that

Heroscape is back!

On June 8th, Renegade Game Studios announced that they are picking up the Heroscape license and will be bringing the game back! Details are still sketchy, but you can read the press release. Time to get hyped!!!

"Let's go buy the latest Heroscape release." If feels so good to be able to say that.

AGE OF ANNIHILATION: Vanguard Edition is live on Hasbro Pulse, Hasbro's version of Kickstarter. You can go there now to pledge your support for the newest Heroscape master set, which looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! New units, new factions, new terrain, and exclusive promos!


Nearly 1000 people have already pledged their support, so if this sounds interesting to you (and I know it does!) go to the Pulse website and check it out! There are lots of great pictures and information there.

If this really takes off, there are even stretch goals available. Who wants more Sgt. Drake Alexander? I do! and I bet you do too.
