Like Heroscape? (Duh.) Like Warcraft, Starcraft, Age of Empires, or Empire Earth? Want to play both in the same game?

About a week ago, my friends were over for some Heroscape, and after a game or two decided they wanted to figure out how to turn it into a world-wide, turn-based Risk-like game. So just about every day since then we've been brainstorming and playtesting and I've gotta say it's turning into something really fun and I can't wait to play it every day.

It has been a while since I've posted anything due to a nasty hard drive crash 3 weeks ago that tried to wipe out many of my HS custom images... but failed!

I've always wanted to have a Conan figure for HS, since there have always been custom cards floating around for this character since the early days of HS customs.

I found an old Mage Knight figure that pretty much fit the character with a few modifications.



Conan is often depicted in paintings dual wielding a battle axe along with a blade. I added that to mine.



The figure had some pieces that needed to be removed and imperfections in the casting; I tried to make the best of it by making them look like wounds. I always picture Conan as wading in the midst of battle, covered...

Hey all, this is my first time writing a blog, so if you spot any errors, please feel free to correct me!

First, a little about me. I live in the middle of nowhere, halfway between Lexington KY and Covington KY. The closest active 'scapers I know of live in Louisville KY and Ohio, so I usually just play with my dad and younger brothers. We have a very large collection, consisting of anywhere from 1 - 7 copies of everything except Nerak and Sir Hawthorne. I am trying to actively play in all 'scape events within driving distance, but we are often busy doing other things like camping, hiking, or cycling with our local scout groups, which we help lead as well.

Now about my blog. I plan to post battle reports for Gen Con and other events I attend. I will also post about other stuff that interests me - like the computer I'm about to build, video games, or technology in general.

I hate my job, plain and simple, and want out something fierce in order to take up something I truly enjoy. Writing.

I have a few short stories revolving around a central character and will continue to flesh him out until NaNoWriMo. I will post updates here of the characters, and stories as we approach November, and will use this blog as a journal through the adventure of writing a novel.

The main character, Selkirk (Rest unrevealed at this point) is a supernatural investigator in a world that has shunned their harder to explain ancestry. Set in an alternate time line we will explore humanity, and what it truly means.
