Building a SUPER Custom

Thankfully, the number of custom makers in the Marvel section has recently exploded. More custom makers means more options for players, more general interest in Marvelscape, and most importantly, more ideas. We can never have too many ideas.

Making customs has always been about the individual’s vision. Therefore, many of the custom makers create widely different cards that may have fun elements, but honestly might not play well together. What I’m going to try and do is explain my philosophy on building a custom and outline each choice made. Hopefully, this will allow others to understand what they like, what they want to do, and how they should think about getting there.

Theme vs. Mechanics
The first thing you have to ask yourself is what is more important, representing the most accurate individual character, or developing a representation of the idea and making it work within the Heroscape strategy game system. I would venture to say that...
