Touring Moria

Updated April 14th, 2008 at 04:05 PM by truth
Heroscaper Lyricoz has been very busy since last we featured his forum thread in The 5ive! He has put his creativity, his photography skills, and his many sets of HeroScape to work in his ventures to further construct a replica of The Lord of the Ring's Mines of Moria in HeroScape tiles. The results of Lyricoz's labor would make Tolkien himself crack a smile.

Eldgrim plays the part of Gimli in Lyricoz's tour through Moria.

The imagery and scale here is spectacular!

I heard he laser etched the detailing into these tiles and columns. I hope he clarifies on this because it is pretty cool. I love how he paints HS figures to look like statues.top view

Updated April 14th, 2008 at 04:16 PM by truth
I asked 'scaper Hahnarama to bring us an expo on the popular heroscape battlefield building software VirtualScape.* Hahn writes:

What's a guy to do. I mean you went out and got yourself a copy of heroscape and they gave you like four scenarios... So you said to yourself I'll go check out the heroscape site... wow another whole four more scenarios. So, I ask again, what's a guy to do? Well friend, if you've got a little creativity in your back pocket and Windows on your computer your in luck! Not long ago a Frenchman came along and brought us a simple, slick, and very BUTT KICKING application that allows you to build your maps as a two dimensional model and with the click of a button turns them into a true 3D. That's right you can easily build yourself a heroscape map and scenario, look at it in 3-D and then print out instructions for building it at home, or even share the maps with the online...

Still looking for that pesky snowbound critter? Have his large eBay prices caused him to allude your grasp? Well here is your chance to put him in your stocking! Heroscaper, Auralerogeny has teamed up with Heroscaper, AgentX-127 and they are offering up Nerak as a prize in their Meta-Map contest. Auralerogeny writes:

"Every Christmas, many of us travel to our families and must leave our obsession behind us. NO MORE! Now, with the wonderful "Meta-Map," HeroScape can travel with us! Now we can pack a small amount of material and figures into our luggage and bring the fun to the family.

During the Holidays, the dining room table is used for it's original intent -- eating! The Meta-Map doesn't have to live on the dining room table. It's quick to set up and break down, and is small enough to fit on an end-table, a coffe table, a TV dinner tray, or a large Lazy Suzan. The Meta-Map...
