Earlier this week Truth asked me if I could put together a picture report on Gencon. How do you say no to the guy who does so much for the Heroscape community? Well, you don't, so here goes.

All of the pictures have been posted on the forum before. A lot are mine, but some were taken by GaryLASQ and I even used one of Cleon's pictures. Also, since there was nothing new at the WotC boot, the pictures were mainly of scapers having fun in the tournaments.

Thursday: I took pictures of Dragon Wars, General Wars, and Damnation Alley, but the best that day was my "exclusive" pictures of the elusive "Agent Bunjee"


Here are a couple Dragon War picture -- these games were really interesting. You would see several different strategies (one I didn't expect was bringing Shades), and several games came down to dragon vs dragon fighting it out.

The Gencon 2008 Heroscape Promo figure has been revealed! We're very excited to share the PDF file of Agent Skahen's card.

While the card given at Gencon had a photo of an early prototype that Wizards didn't have a chance to fix before it went to print, the card has been updated with a new accurate photo.

So download the PDF, print it out, and add Agent Skahen to your Vydar armies!

This is the flier we'll be having the WotC guys hand out with Agent Skahen in order to drive people to the heroscape goodness we'll be putting on over in Hall F.

Speaking of the GenCon tournaments, Grungebob, Chris Dupuis (lead developer of the FAQ aka TheGuru) and myself will all be sitting down with some members of the Wizard's organized play development team to discuss organized play and heroscape. We'll let you know what we can, when we can, as/if things develop in this area.

Thormun's Journal has taken on a far more mature tone. I wrote these current entries back during a time when the game was still at Hasbro and I fully expected to have to tone them down in a second draft. You see, Craig and I had an ongoing deal, I would write the stories raw, I would write them the way I thought they should be told and he would just reel me back in where he thought I had gone too far for Hasbro's younger audience. However, as many of you know, the game has moved hands to Wizards of the Coast where Hasbro felt the game could be better marketed toward the hobby gamers (that would be us, we are mostly an older demographic here), and as a result I get away with...
