I have a big update for today: four heroes. First the tandem that are the namesake for the wave and then a pair of undead heroes for Valkrill.
First, Kalliroth the Githyanki Pirate who leads Vydar's forces in their betrayal of the alliance.
She is quick and deadly. With her Mindslice she can reduce the most toughest defense to nothing. She is able to bring along a guard hero for added protection. Her favorite of course is...
Bulwark, the Warforged Bodyguard.
He is a loyal protector for his chosen master. He will follow along side and gladly take wounds in place of his master.
Next, Valkrill has stolen one of Utgar's heroes...Marcu Esenwein.
Valkrill has broken his cursed and restored him to his former power. Now that his mind is clear Marcu wants nothing more than revenge.
Last, the Lich Queen Vlaakith
This undying monarch enhances nearby undead followers. Though if need she will use her Dark Ritual to destroy a squad figure to restore her health. She also brings a much needed special attack to the undead faction with her Frost Blast Special Attack.

Double attack on Kalliroth's card says he, not she.

I really like the idea of a redone Marcu. However, his out for vengance power is a bit clunky in its mechanic. Are you supposed to remember all the figures that dealt a wound to Marcu during the game? That could be up to 5 figures, even more if you take into account for life drain. I really like the concept, but that power doesn't seem to fit into heroscape's simple rules system.

Maybe make it the last figure that wounded Marcu.

I would prefer to rely on the players memory. The other way I thought of doing it would require "Revenge Markers" that also be rather clunky but more specific. What would be another way to word the power?
EDIT I have reworked the Revenge power to include markers. It limits him to four targets, but the player using Marcu isn't forced to place a marker either. |
