Under the Canopy Draft Results!

Posted May 5th, 2016 at 01:57 PM by kolakoski
Well met!

During a break in the action on Wednesday (chas' Criss Cross Scape), we held the draft for Under the Canopy. Other than Radioactive Man being taken first and Werewolf last, nothing went as I expected. Here are the results:

Under the Canopy

Posted April 30th, 2016 at 03:32 PM by kolakoski

Well met!

For this scenario, I have chosen a map created by Dignan (sans Glyphs). For the nonce, I'm naming it after the map. While we won't be playing it in a while, we
will be drafting armies for games of Last Team Standing on Wednesday, May 3rd, from the following 16 Cards, such that each of us will field 4 Supers. Whenever we play it, we'll undoubtedly have time for 2-3 games, changing the team pairings for each game.

Raid on Gambia!

Posted January 18th, 2016 at 11:32 PM by kolakoski

Well met!

I am Hosting (meaning creating the scenario, the game still occurring at chas' Game Palace in Brooklyn), out of order, thanks to Taeblewalker's generosity, the Gang's next gathering on February 3rd, so that the Battle Report can appear in April as part of the new Codex blog. I am eschewing the complicated A Royal Rescue! (see comment to my blog post
Musings from Sunny Negril!) in favor of a series of simple kill 'em alls.

Raid on Gambia!

"Arghhh! Captain, our erstwhile partner has landed on the other side of Town. Do we meet him . . .
"

"Meet him with steel!"

Musings from Sunny Negril!

Whaagwaan!

[From my tablet]

Just thinking how cool a Heroscape Holiday would be, as I gaze out at the ocean from my seat at one of the four round tables that would be ideal for a four player game. The weather has been near perfect during the last two weeks and, although swimming, walking, and cabbing (very inexpensive, especially compared to New York) to the beach, the numerous bars and restaurants, and hanging with friends we've made over the years (local and tourist) have kept me awfully busy, there has been plenty of leisure time for the local game - dominoes - that I can easily imagine devoting some of for 'Scaping. I wonder how many 'Scapers out there would be interested in a week or two, at pre-season rates (here at the Castle, around $60/night), of swimming, swilling, smoking, and 'Scaping outdoors here in beautiful Negril, Jamaica?

Well met!

Below is a Draft Scenario for 11/4/15. I think we're good to go - and can begin the draft. I suggest we post our choices here. The draft order is . . . [Host going last, rolling for the others] . . .
Sherman, chas, Taeblewalker, kolakoski.

"Remember your training. And that you are only Human. You may not really die in Valhalla, but it sure feels like it when you do." Kaemon continued. "You're not Saint George. Leave the Dragons and Giants to the rest of us." The Prince saw Bahadur nod, however grudgingly. "This fight is about more than
