Well met!

Tigress II
(Our hotel)

Having spent 7 weeks in sunny Jamaica (11/30/18 - 1/23/19), although still recovering from our Jamaica Funk, we are jumping right back into 'Scape.

First up, Hosting the NYCG4 in a Pod Draft Tourney.

For this event, players will submit two pods. Each pod may contain up to 250 points, and may not contain more than 12 hexes of figures per pod. No Marvel, VC alowed plus Kha (kolakoski's SoV candidate). Valhalla Society rules (no guns). The combined point total of both pods cannot be more than 500 points. The pods cannot share any figures. The pods of both players are pooled together for a draft, and there is a dice off. The winner of the dice off can choose to draft first, or defer. The draft is 1-2-1 style. The two pods drafted by each player are played together

Random glyphs are fine for a map that is fairly balanced and symmetrical and won’t be swayed much by one glyph or another. But, for maps—and mapmakers—that want to push the boundaries a little bit, pre-set power glyphs will help you to create and balance maps that, without those specific glyphs, likely wouldn’t be balanced at all. It’s

Customs Creation
Design Fundamentals
Author: Scytale

Articles on creating customs provide insight into many of the finer aspects of creating custom Heroscape units, a hobby that is far more intricate and challenging than it first appears. While these resources can be invaluable, their wisdom will likely fail you if you are not starting with a base of strong fundamentals. I’m talking about knowledge not only of the game and of the existing units, but of broad design patterns that emerge from looking at the official units as well as an understanding of the metagame. While this article is targeted at those new to custom creation, all of us can benefit from reviewing the fundamentals of custom design, including myself.

Different Heroscape units have different purposes. In my articles, I have repeatedly stressed the importance of understanding
