A Paen to a Friend

Although it was Battlelore that brought us together, once chas persuaded me (with a certain amount of difficulty) to try Heroscape, my fate was sealed. Initially, my involvement was relatively minimal: a game once or twice a month at chas' Game Palace in Brooklyn, usually just the two of us, but, occasionally, with Sherman Davies and/or Taeblewalker. Then, a serendipitous event led to my total immersion.

During a casual game of Heroscape, chas soundly defeated a friend of his with a Custom army he had created. In a fit of pique, his friend quit Heroscape altogether, and

Bits and Pieces

Posted April 19th, 2012 at 10:57 AM by Sylvano the Wasabus
If you do a lot of customs sooner or later you end up with a box of ďbits and piecesĒ- bases, arms, heads, and odd figures that just havenít found their way to Valhalla yet.

We have praetorians, auxiliary cavalry, heavy cavalry and Julius Caesar too. But Iíve always been fascinated by MD

Well met!

In anticipation of the continued presence of Mikeyblaze and Pauliesmiley at our monthly Gang of Four gatherings, I have prepared this scenario for my next turn as host.

Raid on the Pride of Barsoom!

"All is in readiness, Admiral. The Pride of Barsoom is ready to wreak havoc upon those puny greenies!" The Zodangan Admiral grinned evilly. "At last! Schedule the Commissioning Ceremony Celebration for the next Double Full Moon. And to rub their noses in it even more, have our "guest," the Princess, perform the Ceremony.

The Map.

A large (roughly 35 x 23) Sandy map depicting the surface of the dying planet. Centrally placed on a 3-level high Plateau is the brand new Airship, the Battlecruiser Pride of Barsoom.
