Small Expansion 3: Force Users

May the Fourth (or Force) Be With You!
The third time is the charm, and we are finally able to have a release on Star Wars Day!
Today we present 3 Force Users:
Darth Vader (II) pdf
Luke Skywalker, Padawan pdf
Yoda pdf
Along with 3 Destructible Objects:
Chemical Canister Destructible Object pdf
Container Destructible Object pdf
Crate Destructible Object pdf

Master Yoda is an ancient creature of unknown origin who is very powerful in the Force, despite his age and frailty. Yoda is able to use the Force to rearrange the battlefield to suit his army's strategy.

Padawan Luke is a fledgling Force User, untrained, impulsive and reckless in its usage when his friends are threatened. Darth Vader, on the other hand, is skilled in lightsaber combat and telekinesis.

Standing near a Chemical Canister can be a risky place to be in a battle, but nevertheless, a figure can hide behind it as well as the Container and Crate when attacked by a non-adjacent figure. One of our playtesters has also called them "Vader's Playthings."
We hope you enjoy this release! The entire set of cards are also available in the X-2 Card Printing App and in pdf form here:
Force Users Art Cards (DO's included) pdf
Force Users Figure Cards (DO's included) pdf
Thanks to all our playtesters for your help, especially TREX, Tai-Pan and Koolster25.

Very cool. But how does Yoda use "Force Push" mentioned in his second power? Also, probably related, what does the blue-hand symbol mean?

At last! Yoda is one of the last truly iconic characters you guys were missing, so I'm glad to see him on the scene. And glad that he's so accurate to Empire Strikes Back. Hangs around, lifts stuff. That's about the extent of it.
![]() Some nice new army building options for the Rebels and Empire respectively; more synergy with Luke and a MAJOR beatstick with Vader. Kind of disappointed that he doesn't have an "No, I Am Your Father!" special power, though. No idea what it might do, of course, but... come on, it's a classic! And, I'm actually surprised because I don't usually care much about that sort of thing, but I think the Destructible Objects are the most interesting part of this release! Really, really intuitive stuff, with Partial Cover being a really brilliant execution of that concept. I'm curious about the mapbuilding implications of Small Container. Two per space... really minor thing but also kinda huge at the same time. I can't think of any custom that's done that before - dual occupancy. Hard to believe we still have unprecedented ideas for Heroscape after 10+ years of content! |

@BurnyFlame
- The Blue Hand is a symbol used on HoSS cards that represents the Force Push special power. The Force symbols are described in the HoSS Master Set rulebook. Here is the quick reference card:

Wow! so much good stuff coming out these days.
I "just" tuned in to see if there was any news about the current C3V stuff being released. What a joy to see more Star Wars already. And I agree with the post above about the objects being very interesting! Great stuff!!! |
