I think I have figured out the reason that people have kids....
Since the American Civil War there has quite rightly been a ban on the use of slaves, and therefore the only ample and legal supply of slave labor is your children.
That is all, carry on...

Maybe people just like doing it?
 Plus, kids are only slaves for 18 years, many of which they can't actually work and are more of a hindrance than a help. |
