Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire!

Well met!
We in NYC have just experienced a heat wave unprecedented in my experience. I will be spending August and half of September in Charlotte, NC. As we are flying (as opposed to taking the train), I will not be transporting any 'Scape stuff (and anyways I have no one to play with). Islandscape XIII was a last gasp bit of 'Scaping before I leave.
The plan is to do a lot of biking and Karate, and spend a lot of time in the pool (a small pool being part of the common facilities managed by our HOA). Last year, departing Charlotte at the end of August, it was 104 degrees with 100% humidity (too hot to rain). Of what I may encounter in the way of weather this year I am afraid - very afraid . . .
P.S.: Kudos (again) to Warbanner for hosting Islandscape this year. He did a wonderful job. Perhaps because of the heat, we were but seven, but we had a magnificent time and - I got a trophy! Third place (not Worse Luck).
I built a slight variant of Swamp Thing for the tournament (transporting it from Roosevelt Island to Lindenhurst in a gym bag), and we played the GenCon Cluster Draft format. Thus it was that I was inspired to create the scenario featured in my previous blog post.
P.P.S.: Deathwalker Mark III figure still missing . . .
