Well met!
Lamenting the lack of progress in Delta+'s general acceptance among the Community in another thread, I noted that, even among my own Gang of Four, Delta+ pricing is utilized only when I am Host (roughly 1 in 4 games). Clearly my passionate advocacy of Delta+ on this site has had no impact - even among those closest to me. This is unacceptable. Enough is enough. I must go further. I must act. I must do something tangible. Therefore I make this Declaration of Personal Protest.
I will no longer enable those who, through gentleman's agreements, embracing the suck, special rules/scenarios, etc., cling to Classic pricing, with its stultifying metagame, to ignore the evolutionary, and superior in concept, Delta+. In all future games, I will full advantage of all Classic pricing flaws. I will play Q9, Raelin, Rats, Krav, etc., the power monger's dream army, maximum cheese, in every game, until Delta+ has replaced it. Break the game - I will crush it under my heel! Be forewarned, Gang of Four. Be forewarned, Islandscape (if you ever pick a date other than the same one as Karate Camp every year). Be forewarned, Charlotte 'Scapers, who might face my wrath now that I have a place there. Be forewarned.

Thanks, Tornado!
It has been suggested to me that all I will accomplish is my becoming Public Enemy #1 in our games. As we play mostly 2 vs. 2, it won't matter much, but this is my group! Ah, the humiliation! I don't really understand the nature of the resistance to Delta+. I also don't understand why it has been abandoned by those respected members of the Community who revived the idea of an evolutionary pricing system for Heroscape. General acceptance of Delta+, and the commitment of the Community to support it, in a manner similar to that of C3V/SoV, is vital to evolve Heroscape, and its current, stunted meta game, from good, but seriously flawed, to the greatest skirmish miniatures game ever! P.S.: See discussion here. |

It Will Be AmusingWell met!
After much sturm und drang, I see that my protest, as an absolute, is counterproductive on a number of levels. However, it has somehow freed me from the guilt I have hereto felt about fielding certain units. Someone has to be the guy who fields poor, neglected Q9! |

If you feel that way, then I'm the guy playing Jandar/Vydar in Game Two...you may have just created a monster!
As they say in Japanese Anime: Target Locked On... |

As someone for whom Delta holds no interest---I think it's a solution without a problem, but I of course have no issue with others playing with it; the joy of 'scape is that you can play it how you think best---I applaud this approach.
I wish more people felt like this a few years ago when the New England tournament scene was more active. Some of the games I enjoyed most were the ones where my carefully-constructed supposedly-second-tier army took on a top-ranked one. I wish there had been more top-ranked armies around. |

I'm not an IdealogWell met!
All I am really trying to do is codify a broader meta game. The principle of Delta+ appealed to me the most, but until another Cornpuff or XMarker comes along, I will continue to use my usual methods to make real the situations/scenarios my imagination creates. |

We're also discussing simpler general rules we could use to rejigger the metagame, rather than making everyone look up each figure's cost individually, and compare it the other Delta Plus costs, etc. For example, a unique hero hero might be 50 points cheaper if you don't use the squads he can bond with, or etc. Food for thought.
