Moving sucks...

I'm not sure how we accumulated so much crap, but my goodness did we have a lot of it.
I didn't realize how many board games I have either, I don't think its possible to have too many, but I'm pretty dang close....
Now that we are completely out of our old place we get the fun of organizing our new house. Fun fun.

Moving does have its positives and negatives. I admit, I do like going through things and getting rid of junk and clutter. A fresh start as you enter your new home. And as you mention, organizing items is also a positive. Though packing, loading, unloading and unpacking are quite wearing. Especially when you get home from work, only to have to unpack a seemingly endless amount of boxes just so you can find items to function normally in your new place.
"Demn... I could have sworn the toothpaste was in this box..." By the way, I dig your blog header. Nice work there. |

Last time I moved, I was packing stuff almost to the last minute when we were supposed to sign the final papers on the sale of the house. What a nightmare. I hope I don't have to move for at least 5 years or more (or that I have enough money to have movers handle it all). Although I keep the amount of stuff I have organized and to a minimum of clutter, I still seem to have tons of it!

I am just holding my first ever board game sale locally (so I don't have to get into shipping, etc.). Its cleared out some room for newer stuff, and I even made a small amount of money and found some games a new home. Times of transition are the most fruitful!
