Week@HS Revival - Week #21

Posted June 4th, 2013 at 02:08 PM by truth

Last week, C3G brought you a Super Secret Release, the Armored Antagonists. This week we will continue to spotlight one of these designs. On tap this week – Crimson Dynamo!
With his Electrical Blast Special Attack, Gavrilov may either attack two figures twice each, three figures - with one figure taking two attacks and the others one each, or he may attack four targets once each. What versatility! Watch out for his Armor Piercing Rocket Special Attack, too! With each skull he rolls not only does he increase his chance for damage, but he reduces his opponent’s defense! With the ability to use this up to three times per turn, this can really hurt his opponent, so beware if that’s you! Put that together with Superstrength and Flying and you have a pretty cheap Iron Man counter, no matter which Armor your opponent fields.

Sanctum Help Wanted!
If you are proficient with Photoshop, C3G is looking for YOU! Right now the Head of C3G’s Art Department is looking to get some more help. If you own Photoshop and know your way around a shaping tool, please PM A3N with your interest and a little background info on yourself. (Remember that A3N lives in Australia, so depending on where you live his response may take a while.)

Lastly, and maybe most important: Have you ever wanted to play a Heroscape Superhero RPG type game, but don’t have the time, ideas, or will to make it happen? Now, the C3G Promo Department has got just the thing for you. Right now, they are taking sign-ups for the first ever C3G Extended Event. Want to find out the details. Go to the C3G Event Thread and find out all you need to know. Earn points, get prizes, save the Multiverse!

This week a VC glyph will be highlighted: The Gem of Lava Resistance.
This treasure glyph is fairly self-explanatory: it grants the Lava Resistant special power to the hero holding it. On many maps without lava, this glyph is useless. However, it is a fantastic glyph to grab on lava maps. With this glyph equipped, your Deathwalkers do not need to worry about lava field damage at the end of a round. A Wyvern holding this glyph is truly terrifying, using Talon Grab to drop opponents' figures into molten lava.

The most curious use of this glyph is its interaction with Racheim. If a hero has this glyph equipped, and Racheim attacks it with Frost Breath Special Attack, the hero holding the Gem of Lava Resistance must subtract 2 dice from its defense. Because of Racheim, picking up the Gem of Lava Resistance isn't always a good idea!

Custom of the Week
This week we're featuring another custom card from Scytale! The SPS Agents add to Vydar's ranks of ranged combatants, bringing with them their advanced weapons and technology. Their Targeting computers make them deadly opponents at closer ranges, while their Adaptive Armor makes killing them quite a challenge.
Don't forget to check out the rest of Scytale's customs!

Map of the Week
This week we bring you a map from long-time member ProtoFury, Monwhitt Ruins!
A very beautifully designed map, this map is rich with twists and obstacles. This map is great for casual and testing alike!

Custom SuperScape Creation
This week, we bring you a creation from The B.I.V., the U.S. Agent!
This figure is not only a great repaint of the Captain America figure, but also is dripping with theme. While his Shield Throw SA and his Counter Strike are the same as the original Captain America's, his Battle Rage power gives him more of a punch. Combine that with the same base stats but for a cheaper price and you have a winning figure to add to your superhero battles!

Fan Art of the Month
The stunning work of Deadmaxx has once again seen the light of day!
A master of 3D creation, Deadmaxx has put his talents to good use in the HeroScape department, coming up with My Pet Hivelord. Be sure to check it out, it's a must see!

Does the pulse of Middle Earth beat within you? Do your fingers itch to write the untold tales inspired by the master trilogy? If such is the case, Ninja Status has put together a contest of sorts just for you. Make your way over to the LotR Writing Contest, or shoot him a PM.

Editor's note
Due to unavoidable circumstances, we were forced to delay the next leader interview. However, we hope to have it available to you by the next installment!
