Week @ Heroscapers, January 20th 2011

Images of the Week.
We feature a lot of truly incredible stuff here, but sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy the basics that make Heroscape what it is, and that's why we feature Ciananbrage's epic battle.
Custom of the Week.
The customs community is still thriving, and this underwater themed master set is one of the most impressive customs that I've seen in a long time. See more images and the rules for this new custom terrain at Betawolf36's thread.
Just Plain Cool.
Since the release of the Fen Hydra Heroscapers have been discussing ways of creating a Hydra with removable heads, and Filthy the Clown's paper clip version is by far the best. Check out the full tutorial here.

Glad a new person Betawolf36 can get on the front page. That Fen Hydra also had to go on the front page too, same as the lazy cheap way to rebase clix.

Thanks for the nod in regards to the hydra. It is nice to be displayed with such outstanding company!
The actual modification took about 45 minutes, so it is not very time intensive. I do recommend cutting each head at a slightly different angle; that way, they are easier to match up when you put them back on. |

I would very much like to try the Hydra thing, but I have no Hydras... Congrats to those of you who made this post!

Good job Betawolf! I wonder what kind of notice your next custom thread will get. ()
P.S. It's a thing between the two of us, in case you're wondering. |

Underwater terrain ftw! I love that set of terrain and plan to make some of my own and hopefully sell the C3G on it as well. Thanks a ton for sharing that Beta.

Great stuff from our community! I've just got back to my Battle Lore game after a couple of years; it features a Hydra with three removable necks--when you chop off one with a head, it grows back a neck with two! Just tried it out for the first time. Something to think about for Scape?
And its great to see a Sahaugen Raider coming into his own undersea world. I love that little guy!!! |
