New custom. Scourge.
Well it's been awhile since I've made a new custom. I've really started to slow down and think through my units, as opposed to throwing them together in a day as I used to. I've started taking some old units down that I just aren't happy with. Anyway here is the new unit.
Scourge.

Basically I wanted a quick way to disperse swarms. The idea is to move up and take out as much as possible with Rapid Fire, then back out of range with Justice is Served. Originally I went with more of a theme based unit, with a more powerful special that only applied to Utgar and Valkrill, but it was far too situational, with a lot of extra baggage. So I went with a simpler rapid fire special attack. I still think it works out pretty well. He sneaks up to the enemy and opens fire. After he's done attacking "Justice is Served" and he leaves. The only thing I don't like is the pricing. 70 is just an odd number for a Marvel Hero. I'd like to take him up to 80, but I'm not sure if he's worth it. I plan on doing some more through testing over the weekend, so hopefully I can get his price fixed. I also took a few creative liberties with the fog, but I like how it turned out.

Did you mean for "Justice is Served" to say that he vanishes? That's kind of confusing, especially since when I think of vanishing, I think of Ninjas, which means Phantom Walk.
Great custom though, I love the feel. |

Yes and no. The wording is based off of Isamu, which is where the vanish comes from. Originally it said moves, but that didn't sound right, so I just left it at vanish. I'm open for suggestions though. I'm glad you like it.

Isamu's power says "vanish" because that's the name of the power. Unless you wanted him to be able to leave engagements without taking a leaving engagement attack:
After taking a turn with Scourge, Scourge may move up to an additional 4 spaces. Scourge can move using Justice is Served only if he ends his Justice is Served move not adjacent to any enemy figures. ... or if you want to stray a bit from Isamu wording to make it sound better: After taking a turn with Scourge, Scourge may move up to an additional 4 spaces. Scourge may not end his movement adjacent to any enemy figures when using Justice is Served. --- So have you had the chance to playtest him? I would have definitely imagined him costing more than 70 points. Then again it is Marvel'Scape ![]() |
