Jotun woke with a start, cheek hurting where he had used a fallen tree as a pillow. "What's that smell?" he thought. Small folks were approaching, and with them the telltale stench of magic. "Guard the Scar me orders are," muttered the sleepy giant, and grabbing his sword he headed to work...

This is the prequel to the campaign presented in the D&D Heroscape Master Set. It can be download here:

Also check out the new D&D Heroscape scenarios at www.playdnd.com

Road to the Underdark and the other scenarios at playdnd.com are just a sampling of the potential for D&D Scape scenarios. We all look forward to seeing what fun dungeon crawling adventures you the fans brew up. Have fun!

Road to the Underdark was worked on by the design team and playtesters behind D&D Heroscape. This scenario is available exclusively at heroscapers.com. A big thanks to Malechi as well, who created the glyph graphics for us.

Thanks to all the fans of Heroscape. Please enjoy being creative and sharing your creations with this community.

Road to the Underdark mirrors our struggles as designers going up against the giant that represents the challenges we faced. It is a humorous take on scenario design and shows that Heroscape can be enjoyed in small and simple ways. We also included an Ancient Artifact Glyph. It will be cool to see what kind of Ancient Artifact Glyphs this community creates.

Good stuff. Printing it at work because I don't have a color printer at home.

Looks cool! But if you didn't notice, it says Road THE the Underdark, instead of "to."

I have tried to open this a dozen times today, and I've gotten an error message every time. Can anyone help?

This is pretty cool. I like the idea of expanding one big campaign forward and backward. Feels D&D and yet very Heroscape.

Ditto on the "cool stuff" comments.

I like the artifact (and that the PDF includes the artifact glyph and card to print).

Looks cool.
Am I correct in assuming this is not the only prequel scenario?
I mean, that artefact could totally tip the balance, if gained before "Ancient Sanctum" is played.
Maybe a scenario explaining how Erevan got caught by the Troll?

Think of the glyph as an example of how to structure Ancient Artifact Glyphs.
