HAY! NHSD Tournament in Lawton/Fort Sill has passed, and it was a BLAST! We had an average turnout, unfortunetly 4 people had to cancel (disadvantage of living on an Army post), but we did have 3 new players in our circle. I'd like to say "Thanks" to Kevin, Larry and Jeremy for stopping in and being part of our event for their first time (Kevin and Larry drove up from Texas to play here. Thanks Guys). I'd also like to thank Karen & Greg at Carolina Comics for hosting our event. They're the best. Thanks to WOTC and EVERYONE here at Heroscapers.com and Housemouse Games for the support, which really was the iceing on the cake. Thanks to Carolina for supplying our "Fellowship" award, I know our winner Tory will enjoy it! Oh, and thanks to Ethan, who donated a Thaelenk Tundra to the prizes. Thanks everyone.

The tournament went without a hitch, no rules problems at all, everyone knows how to play well. Everyone was very sporting too, we had a new player (who's never touched HS before today), and everyone was helpful to him, helping to understand the game. Just Great!

As for the winners; here was our Top 5.

1st Place: Robert. He went 5-0 with a Spidy/Venom themed team (with Isamu & Marcu Esenwein).
2nd Place: James. He was 4-1 with Zombies and Deathreavers (that's it, just lots of 'em)
3rd Place: Larry L. (a new person, hope he returns next month). He was 3-2, and ran a mixed team which included Raelin 80, Syvaris, Sholin Monks & Isamu.
4th Place: Tory. he was 3-2 also, with an Utgar/Ullar mixed team (Syvarris, Khosmet Darklord, Anubian Wolves & Marcu Esenwein).
5th Place: Michael L. He was also 3-2, with Syvarris, EOV's and Q10
Our Fellowship Award (voted on by the players) went to Tory. He's a great guy!

Isamu and Syvarris were the most popular Heroes played, with Syvarris being used by 7 players. Our "blank" (Featureless) field was actually the most popular. Level playing field and all, players seem to enjoy it.

Fun was had by all, and I look forward to seeing (most of) them at our regular tournament next month.

Thanks Again EVERYONE! Your Support Was Invaluable!
Here are a few photo's of the games.
Have a funny day...

Winning isn't everything (but then why do we keep score?), but I understand trying your best. Many of our regulars come in with "fun" teams, trying out unique or "themed" armies. Never know how the dice will treat you too.

Tournament starts at 1, please be there by 12:30 if possible.
