Suggestion for Customs

Okay, I think we can all agree that 10 figures isn't going to tide us over before the next expansion comes out. I suggest the following:

In the Customs forum everyone nominate a hero and a villain that they'd like to be that week's Marvel Custom Additions. It could then go to a vote. Then all of the customs that have been posted on this forum could be put up, discussed, tweaked, then finally voted on and that would become the Unofficial Marvel Customs that everyone could print out and play.

So every 1 or 2 weeks we could "add" to the game ourselves with mutually-agreed-upon figures. The poll system could be put to Good use instead of the Evil it's generally being used for now.

You should really put a poll on this thread asking if its a good idea.

Also, this should probably go into the Customs thread, where a "Tried and True" system is currently being worked on.

I think this is a decent idea, but would say that the "Tried and True" is covering a lot of this territory already.

Agreed. But this brings up a good point for me at least. In my customs thread I mention that I take requests. Maybe those that aren't doing customs but want certain figures should make some requests. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would do it. We could have a running list that we could all pull from. ej can keep the list updated here and creators can decide which one they want to do then that creators name will go next to the request to show it is already assigned. This won't prevent us from making our own versions but it will allow us to cover more ground more quickly.

I'd be all for this being a place to compile requests - and I agree, that as someone interested in doing a LOT of characters, hearing requests can impact the timing of when I make one.

Yea I think this is a good idea. I mean no one wants to wait for the next three months. There are so many heroes and villians that can be made.

This may sound a bit cruel, but has anyone considered a squad style card for Civilians or Bystanders as destructable objects?

Other than that, I've been considering common squads of Police, National Guard, and SWAT teams.
Don't know if I'll ever get around to it though.

I prolly wouldn't make them destructible objects. As far as civilians or bystanders, perhaps just make them randomly move after every round or something obstructing figure's LoS.
