The one that I met the funnest people to play a great minis game with. The guys that actually shared their passion with me and left some of it behind with me. It just can't be like that. You guys bring so much to the game as well as to everyone that comes to play. I would really miss you guys. You are one of the reasons I like to go to the game days. Even when I lose terribly, which I tend to do quite well, I have a great time laughing with you and joking around.

I hope you all will go to Hex's house. It just wouldn't be the same without you all.

Well I am still in San Diego, currently stealing some time on my buddies computer while he's passed out drunk lol It is to bad this won't be going down, but at the same time I am a little relieved. We really didn't have this thing sorted out very well and I wasn't feeling very comfortable with it anymore. Driving all that way and splitting the cost of a room without having any idea of what is going to happen didn't sound fun. Besides tournaments are awsome and all, but the first time I meet a bunch of people I would much rather play some friendly games and hang out.

Anyhow I have been down in San Diego since Tues. which is my excuse for remaining quiet after the CCC revelation. Although i'm not sure even if I had been around I would have been burning some torch because of the stunt. If anything I found it amusing and was a little dissapointed in the manner it was approached, but it was nothing to get worked up about. You can't lose one game to someone, especially the game i played, and feel very thoroughly beaten or that I have something to prove. It's a game of chance after all and there are so many "if I had rolled" moments in a game that only consistantly winning can prove anything. Hopefully we'll get to play some of the crew again because you guys were great and are all good players.

Anyhow I would like to see a future gameday between N and S, maybe with the side tournament that some want so badly. We'll have to plan it better next time and make sure we really look at the numbers before picking anymore dates. Sorry to hear you'll be getting out of heroscape for a while JF, but hopefully we'll schedule this so that even with your busier life you'll be able to get away for a day to play with everyone. I know for a lot of people this was more about meeting people they know online and hopefully that's what the postponed event will be more about. Sure we'll get some bragging rights in there, but when all is said and done the game is about having a good time. Which is why I still vote for just casual games (whatever people want to play) and keeping tabs on N vs S wins/losses. So people can play who they want and have some fun getting to meet everyone.

UD I hope you're trip out here works out alright. I would say come hang out with me, but I just had a houseguest leave whose been here for 5 months....not ready for another one just yet hehe


I don't see why we can't just start doing another list of good dates and this time just make sure we are more careful about selecting one. Personally I am still open for just about any weekend as long as I have decent notice.

A rescheduling is fine for me, thanks for speaking for me Oog. I discussed with Oogie about some of the more veteran NorCal players wavering when our numbers were thinnning, and rightly so. I didn't think the spirit of the tournament would be rightly felt without most of our players and without some of the NOrcallers like Satyr (who was up regardless, good job!), Reap, Alastair and others. Hopefully, a future date can be agreed upon and a full gaming day can be realized.
