You can't be serious. You're just posting to cause trouble.

Worse than Taelord, Khosumet, Gorillinators, Parmenio, Sacred Band, or Dund, for starters?

I mean...teleporation for 80 points....that's upper crust power right there.

Your friend is wrong. The ability tells you to "move the chosen figure to any space adjacent to Saylind."

So the question becomes one of adjacency. A double-base figure does not have to have both bases next to a unit to be adjacent to it. It appears that your answer is the correct one.
Seriously, it doesn't say "at least one space adjacent to Saylind" or to "move part of the chosen figure to any space adjacent to Saylind." I would say "move the chosen figure to any space adjacent to Saylind" means the figure may only be moved to spaces adjacent to Saylind. Just my $0.02
So you want to go 100% literal?

Ok, that would mean that Saylind cannot summon double-base figures at all, since the phrase says "any space adjacent to Saylind" which is a singular word demanding exactly one space gets occupied.

Since a double-base figure cannot occupy only one space, that must mean that double-base figures cannot be summoned, right?

(Hopefully this post is seen as the parody that it is. If anyone honestly responds with "OMG, that's right! She can't summon DB figures!!!" then I've lost all hope for some of you.)
Well, in regards to the initial argument, if a double-hex figure has only one half next to Saylind, it still qualifies as "a space next to Saylind." It doesn't say anything about having to be completely and only next to Saylind, only that you move it to a space next to her. If one half is, and the other half isn't, it doesn't matter, you still satisfy what it says.

On the same token, if you DO put it so that both hexes are next to Saylind, you are still satisfying it. You are putting it in a space next to Saylind. The other also happens to be next to her, but it doesn't specify that you CAN'T do so; it doesn't say "exactly one" space

Yes, I realize the rebuttal was in parody, but I think the issue is pretty evident what it means. (Mostly in regards to the original argument saying both halves had to be put there). When moving a double-hex figure, all you have to do is put it so it's adjacent to Saylind. Where the other half goes is irrelevant (though it does have to move with the first half. No breaking out the hacksaws, now).
