What I mean by that, is the typical Heroscape fanatic, i.e. the guys who would spend hours posting on here and drooling over blurry pictures and debating things such as this like you or me or the other (or even Nether), the guys (or gals) who are going to buy multiples of things, are more into Heroscape than Marvel Heroscape. But the fanatics, as much fun as we are, only represent a minority of the Heroscape buying population. I think, just as the Masterset and other big box sets are bigger sellers for the non-fanatic, but still interested Heroscape population, Marvelscape will do much better in that crowd than, say, Wave 7. Due to the iconic nature of the characters, it will likely even do better than Swarm of the Marro.
I think there's plenty of room for both, though, and I think they'll be much more fun together than apart.

I would add, Batman, that Marvelscape will surely appeal to the young HS crowd, aged 8-13ish. If I were a ten year old who played Heroscape, I would be dying to get my hands on The Conflict Begins, as two of my favorite worlds would be colliding (that is, of course, if I weren't a ten year old loser who thought Marvel sucked). Additionally, I think Marvel will initially outsell SOTM because of the name recognition, but eventually SOTM will best Marvelscape in sales because of us fanatics buying multiple copies. One set of Marvel will hold most of us over for a while, but I predict that the hardcore fans, on average, will buy more multiples of SOTM than of Marvel because of more terrain and the common squads.
