HeroScape Season 2: A Statistical Analysis
**Updated July 15**
Hello. Welcome to my topic summarizing the second summer season of my HeroScape league. Last summer was season one, and it was when my friends and I first started playing HeroScape. We had no official scoring or anything like that in the first season. It was just us playing. The "us" being myself and three of my friends, Jason, Heath, and Adam. We had a few other people participate in a few other games but for the most part we were the four main players in the league. During the season we did keep track of our total wins however and I finished in second in that regard. But let's get on with season two shall we. For season two we've decided to add a point system so we can declare an official winner at the end of the season. The point system works as follows. First place gets one point for the number of players in the game and each following place gets one less. Here is an example. If there are four people playing, first place would get four points and second place would get three. If five people are playing first gets five points and second gets four and so on. You also earn one point for each player you completely eliminate from the game. For example, say I kill Bob's last unit. I get a bonus point for eliminating Bob from the game. Aside from scoring points we've also decided to keep some running stats for the season. Those stats include draft order of every game, unit kills, player kills, and units that survive a game. A few notes about how we play. We play varying point games and we play until entire armies are defeated. We don't play with a certain number of preset rounds. The record is divided into three sections: (wins/mids/loses). A mid is when you don't win but you aren't the first person eliminated either(second or third place in a four player game). Wins and loses should be self explanatory then. Survival points are how many times that unit has survived a game. Squads get one point for each surviving figure in that squad. Now that we have the background established, on with the statistical analysis. **Updated July 15** After 8 Games: Player Stats Player Name - Points - Record - Kills - Player Eliminations Jeremy - 30 - (2/5/1) - 140 - 8 Jason - 24 - (3/3/0) - 96 - 6 Adam - 23 - (3/2/3) - 154 - 4 Heath - 16 - (0/4/3) - 97 - 3 Furb - 1 - (0/0/1) - 6 - 0 Kills Per Game: Adam - 19.25 Jeremy - 17.5 Jason - 16 Heath - 13.86 Furb - 6 Unit Stats Unit Name - Kills - Times Drafted - Survival Points 4th Massachusetts Line - 19 - 12 - 1 Agent Carr - 0 - 1 - 0 Airborne Elite - 33 - 5 - 0 Alastair MacDirk - 2 - 2 - 1 Anubian Wolves - 3 - 2 - 0 Armoc Vipers - 5 - 2 - 0 Arrow Gruts - 4 - 4 - 0 Aubrien Archers - 8 - 7 - 3 Blade Gruts - 5 - 6 - 0 Braxas - 9 - 5 - 2 Brunak - 1 - 2 - 0 Charos - 7 - 5 - 0 Concan - 2 - 2 - 0 Deadeye Dan - 2 - 6 - 0 Deathwalker 7000 - 0 - 1 - 0 Deathwalker 8000 - 6 - 4 - 0 Deathwalker 9000 - 3 - 3 - 0 Dzu-Teh - 11 - 5 - 3 Dumutef Guard - 3 - 12 - 0 Elite Onyx Vipers - 4 - 1 - 0 Finn - 1 - 3 - 0 Gladiatrons - 0 - 1 - 0 Grimnak - 0 - 1 - 0 Guilty McCreech - 1 - 2 - 0 Izumi Samurai - 0 - 1 - 0 James Murphy - 0 - 1 - 0 Johnny "Shotgun" Sullivan - 0 - 1 - 0 Jotun - 25 - 5 - 0 Kelda - 0 - 2 - 1 Knights of Weston - 23 - 10 - 3 Krav Maga Agents - 36 - 7 - 2 Krug - 19 - 6 - 1 MacDirk Warriors - 0 - 1 - 0 Major Q9 - 31 - 5 - 1 Major X17 - 0 - 1 - 0 Marrden Hounds - 20 - 7 - 0 Marro Drones - 2 - 4 - 0 Marro Warriors - 12 - 6 - 6 Me-Burq-Sa - 6 - 4 - 0 Microcorp Agents - 5 - 4 - 0 Mimring - 14 - 6 - 1 Minions of Utgar - 27 - 10 - 0 Morsbane - 1 - 7 - 1 Ne-Gok-Sa - 1 - 2 - 0 Nerak - 2 - 3 - 0 Nilfheim - 24 - 6 - 1 Obsidian Guards - 11 - 4 - 1 Omnicron Snipers - 14 - 2 - 0 Raelin - 0 - 2 - 0 Roman Archers - 2 - 2 - 0 Roman Legionnaries - 1 - 1 - 0 Sacred Band - 2 - 3 - 4 Sgt. that's a lot of note taking there, dude. it's impressive... but there's too much alcohol at our games to be so accurate.

theres not enough patience or organization at my games for accuracy like that either.
I have a group of 3 friends that i play with, occasionally playing with new people as well. we dont draft. we build armies out of units that we own (IE: I bought the charos set, therefore only I am allowed to use my charos) |

Nice note taking.
Jotun has been picked once and he has 9 kills! I am sure that his draft to kill ratio will go down with play but wow! |

I get slaughtered so often that I'd be ashamed to post any stats

It's really not that difficult to keep the notes. I just write down the draft order and who drafts the character. Then once the game starts I just put a slash next to each character when they get a kill. That way I know what unit and which player gets each kill. Then at the end we just write down who survived and which players eliminated which players.

That's a very organized report.
Concise, to the point, and bullet points. If only our group were so organized. --It's like cramming for an exam the night before; you know it's coming, you have all the info, but you don't act until the last minute-- Don't get me wrong.. I love our DF/W HS crew. Some of the sharpest guys around and great sportsmanship and general respect. I do have to give props up for DMG (wherever you are, congrats and hope that you are allowed to have friends of your own soon) and Grungebob for the February tournament. That was very well done considering the lot that they had to deal with. And Ninth for the hookup with Jasco's. It apparently was too epic for words and came out in video.

I like that report. I don't have that kind of patience.
