Battle For Valhalla
Valkyrie:
General Draynar General Colgar General Clamzar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It has been 20 years since the fall of the Valkyrie. In a single battle, all were wiped out. There were no survivors, so no one knows who shot first, and who shot last. All that is known is that someone, or something brought a weapon to the battle field the likes of which even Valhalla had never seen. At its activation, all creatures within hundreds of miles were incinerated. Now, Valhalla is a war torn waste land. Bands of thieves travel the streets, Horrid beasts infest the wilderness. Chaos, simply chaos. The Valkyrie might have started a war, but at least they had order. We have nothing. The prophecies tell of a new generation. They tell of 5 new Valkyrie who will step forward and bring order to the world. These kyrie would look past the boundaries of the old rivalries, and form new armies. Who will they be? No one knows. But we do know that on the 16th year of chaos, they will awaken. Tomorrow is new years eve. Many of us sit in our homes, waiting to see if the prophecies will come true. Welcome to BfV, a new game created by XSI. In this game, 5 players will become Valkyrie, and choose their armies. The other players must choose sides. Rather than post everything now, I will give you a basic layout of things to come: Valhalla World Map Heroscape Online Matches Full Army Control To start, I need 5 members who would like to be Valkyrie. If you are interested, pm with the following information: Name: History: Personality: Other Info: Anything else you want me to know about your person Once I have 5 entrees, we can begin. The five Valkyrie will be generals of huge armies. They will take turns picking 5000 point armies. Once a unit has been chosen, the other generals cannot use it. A general may only have one unique unit in the army, but up to 20 sets of common units. (I recommend you have a varied army so you can react to many different types of maps). Generals will take turns picking one type of figure, and then stating how many of that unit they want. The picking order will be decided based on who has the best Valkyrie post. Here is an example of how a unit would be chosen: I want the 4th Mass Line (x10) = 700 points. If you want to include a custom unit, pm me first with the info about it, if I ok it, you can pick it, if not, then no. Once all the armies have been chosen, other players may begin picking sides. When choosing a side, you must select a unique squad or hero who was chosen by one of the generals. You are then a part of that generals army. It is up the that General how much power he wants to give you. The following is the rank sheet, each player is given one by his or her general: Valkyrie: Main leader of the Army, max army 2000 Archkyrie: Second in Command, no more then one per Valkyrie, max army 1000 Brigade General: High ranking officers, no more than 2 per valkyrie, max army 800 Lieutenant: Mid ranked officer, no more than 5 per Valkyrie, max army 500 Captain: Low ranked officer, no more than 8 per valkyrie, max army 400 Private: Lowest ranked officer, as many as you want, max army 200 The Valkyrie may freely change the rank of any player who follows them. Each rank has a different size army they can use. That is the max number of points each can control during battle. Note: One general might have 20 members under him, and another General may only have 2, but the total army size of each is still 5000. Players may be allowed to choose freely from their generals army, or the general may assign them units. Players may be assigned under each other. For example: Player A is an Arch Kyrie. Player B is a Private. Player C is a captain. Player A has 1000 points to control. Player A chose to use Player B and C in his army. Their armies are added to his own also. This means that 600 points worth of men is taken. Player A still has 400 points left to choose from. B and C must now go where A goes, and fight who A fights. But more on that later. For now, I'd like some feed back and Valkyrie info. |

Upon second thought, a Valkyries back story is not required to play. So if you're interested, just post it, along with your name.

Okay, so if a private, archkyrie, and a captain get together, the army has 1600?
My Valkyrie will be: Draynar (more on history later) Tricky If we can go ahead and start, than I choose Venoc Warlord (120 points.) |

Scorpiusx, thanks for being the first player. If i wasn't clear in my original post, then i'm sorry. In the battle system (still being refined, which is why it hasn't been posted) each member has a certain number of order markers depending on their rank. In armies, there is a chain of command. The leading officer (in the case of the example) the Archkyrie, can only keep tabs on 1000 points worth of soldiers. Having the captain and the private in his army gives him more options because he will have more order markers, but it does not add increase the number of units he can use. If you think in terms of the civil war, the general had his own batch of men, plus a number of divisions under him. But in total, he could only keep track of so many men. HAving officers below him was good because it made it so he could control the larger picture while his subordinates tied up the loose ends.
The battle system will be posted when everyone is signed up. |

So, for example, the archkyrie wants some roman archers to use, but has none. But, he has a private with roman archers. So, he can exchange those for, say, sacred band members of his own army?

If he wanted to, and his Valkyrie permits it. The main idea of having underlings in battle is so that you get more turns in online matches. Higher ranking members do have control over lower ranked armies. On the same token, is the fact that players can freely change sides. So, if for example, yo and I are Valkyrie, and I was tyrannical to my officers, they could leave. If i took a heavy loss, and decided to refuel myself by taking men from my subordinates, leaving their armies in fragments, they could leave. However, their men do not leave with them.
Things will be clearer when I post the system. |

Colgar
Valient Colgar was the second in command of Jandar's army. He was a major tactician and leader, and would often lead the charge against the foe. Although he had the upmost respect and awe for Jandar, he beleived that if he were to expand his realms of summoning more, he could have a greater army. When Colgar saw the huge blast of the unknown weapon at the last battle, he and his force were marching twords it. Stepping up to the wellspring, which seemed as beautiful and clear as ever, he drank, and claimed the title of valkyrie. Im signing up for this, but my draft isn't so strong, (I'm here to play tactics) so my archkyrie may want to help me there. |
