corpses on the battlefield

what do you guys think about having corpses left on the battlefield?

before you say "there is no reason for this", consider the following:

such as at the battle at Thermopylea, the defenders(greeks) piled the thousands of corpses into a makeshift wall.

It could be formated as a grass tile with a sticker on it. i think it would add an interesting aspect to the game by allowing you to use the boddies to your advantage, like making ramparts.

Su_Nan Woo who?
I don't think heroscape works that way. Since a person can die and come back, I think it's more like when you kill them they poof away and are gone to fight another day. Nobody really dies.

rehlers is surprisingly tart
It might be kind of cool to have markers on the map showing where units died during the course of a game, so afterwards you can see the carnage.

but that would take up too much space. And, i mean, did krug come back in the webisodes after being "sliced and diced"? and these are not "spirits" of soldiers, they are soldiers that were teleported before the were killed, right before they were killed. I still think the grass hex tile idea would work. just make a non gorey sticcler on the battlefield. the first moveable terrain.

I did that once. We even had rules for moving over them. But we played on a tiny map with 1000 points each and in the end I walled off his only units (that were all melee) and my Syv killed them all.

I could see that if you had 4+ MS's, using extra figures, taking them off the bases and boiling them, making "dead" versions.

But not doing waves or other figures... too much need for commons in the draft!

i was going more more just for using the extra MS single tiles to represent the bodies. so you oculd ubild walls of the dead, but the zombies would have a feast....

My group has done it before where we used glyphs with the solid red side up to show each spot where someone died. Made it interesting to see where the killing zones were after the game.

Especially when there was more than one glyph on a couple spots.
