different spelling and look on hs cards

im wondering why the us and eu english card looks so different. white and black wrote.

and some spelling difference.

like die vs dice
space vs spaces
defense vs defence

or the front size is bigger.

Yeah, I noticed that too, there are even stat differences, the german Anubian Wolfs have only a defence of 3, WTF?

yeah i notice that now , because i play only with the english cards.(more expansions)
but it seems a mistake, on heroquest the eu version is more easier no life points for monsters, and less attacks.

Maybe they decided to rebalance it by the time the translations were done and published... or maybe the translation got an old copy

Publishers often take creative liberty when they dont understand instructions black fonts instead of white etc...

First of all, the die / dice, and space / spaces is used properly throughout the cards. die and space are singular nouns, where as dice and spaces are plural. So no problem there.

The composition of the 'Arrow Gruts' could be due to a different design team working on the game specifically for non-USA distribution. This might also explain the black text for stats which are white on the US version.

Regarding the error in the Anubian Wolves defense stat, this may have been a translation issue. A lot of times, text goes back and forth to someone translating English to a different language. Once it comes to the designer, all he is usually worried about is fitting the language in according to the style guide associated with the job he's working on. Then, the card is sent out to proof to make sure everything is okay. In this case, someone obviously missed this error, and the card was signed off "okay" and sent to print.

While I'd hope Hasbro would be aware of this mistake by now, you may want to write into their Customer Service about the error to inform them of the oversight.

on the german hs.com the wolfes have 4 defense.
and a better rule translation , that was the only thing that hasbro do for the german fan forum, but that was all and they have never come back again.
the second the sir hortrone cards they have them not, not in german or in english only the figure.

the net things the army cards the ms and wave 1 had english and german cards the or, and rotff had a german and english card and rule book. wave 2 had only german cards.

Defence looks like the British spelling, which would make more sense for the EU than the US spelling: defense.

Seriously, though, the name portion of the card IS spaced/coloured differently. I almost want to get my cards out and have a look, but that would mean getting them out, and hence why I say almost.

I was talking to the OP, who seems to be comparing 2 completely differnt cards and obviously you caught on too.
