are old waves out of print?

I was doing some searching on here trying to find the answer to this but alas I found nothing. Everywhere I go they have tons of wave 5 but very little of anything else. I was wondering if they still produce the old waves or if ebay or other online sites are the only ways to acquire these.

No, no waves are out of print.

if they are not selling them in your area then you will want to go online. Try house of mouse, Sandra has some reasonable prices and availability. We all have the same problems of getting exactally what we want in stores. You just have to buy what you can, when you can.

None of them are out of print, they just come out in waves. In a couple of months you might start seeing a bunch of wave 3 for example. its just how it goes.

Like Cavalier said, no waves are officially out of print. In practice though, as you have found, it is rare to see more than a wave or two out on a store shelf at the same time. Online retailers are the way to go if you want to find past waves (aside from Orm's Return ) reliably.

thanks. I thought I missed out on all the old ones. however what about the walmart exclusive EOV Master Set? Do they still carry them at walmarts from time to time or was that a one time thing?

This was a one time thing, dating back to the "Black Friday 2005" promotion (after-Thanksgiving sale). However, there are reports occasionally posted about folks finding random EOV sets here and there. Though again, these are left-over stock, and NOT new sets.

At this point, if you can't find them locally, your best bet would be eBay.

Are you sure the Flag Bearers and Volcaran Wasteland are limited releases? I know they are exclusives to Toys R Us, but I'm pretty sure they are still in production.

EOV, Hawthorne and Nerak you are correct, but each of them is simply a repaint of an existing unit.
