Do not give this time to become a problem, ignoring this is like ignoring the elephant in the living room, yes it is wierd and yes yo ushould get it figured out Asap. By now you already have this resolved and I am curious of the turnout.

My 2 cents: room mates suck. I have never had a room mate that I would consider letting stay in my house for a visit. There is always conflict and a lack of communication. Once you have a room mate the two of you eventually devolve into paranoid neurotics suspecting the other of things that only your imagination can grasp. I've had a room mate invite over friends and clear out the $300 (in 8 of liquor I had stashed while I was away on a training exercise only to look at me stunned when I told him how much it was going to cost to replace it...he never did. I've had a room mate tell me he was short for rent and could he borrow $100 to help make his car payment...he moved out a week later and I never even got the $100 back. I had a roommate for a month who after I had smelled pot warned him not to have it in the apartment...when rent came due he had moved out leaving a simple note, "I don't think this is going to work out" and no rent money.

My recommendation, find a good way to dispose the body before you procede.

They mysteriously reappeared in the kitchen and he "says" he doesnt know what happened. Anyways Im going to move out and he is going to put an ad up for a roomate.

If I were you, I would first box up the important stuff/ expensive stuff like the 360 and pictures you own, and either take them to your folks house to stash, or keep them in your car. That is just me and what I would do if things start coming and going.

I agree. You have to protect your own. Unless you knew the guy from childhood and finish eachother's sentences, I'd be wary, for no other reason than the simple fact that people will do stupid **** when panicked.

From my own personal experience, I had a roomie and I considered myself to be a pretty decent roommate. I paid the bills, bought my share of groceries and was seldom home. When I was, I usually stay in my room. The rent was never late. Then one day, I mention that I am thinking of moving out and wanted to know what kind of timeline would be comfortable for her.
The next day I come home to find that she pawned my stereo that my bro gave me as a move in present initially.
