HeroScape Christmas Ornament
Each Christmas, one of our family traditions is to let each member of the family pick a new ornament (or convert a toy into an ornament) for the tree....preferably something that holds special meaning for them.
Yeah, sure, our tree doesn't look as stylish as some, but it is fun to dig out the ornaments, let the memories rush back, and laugh about what we were "in to" each year. Besides, how else could you have Yoda, Cinderella Barbie, and Thomas the Tank Engine all in one place? Anyway, I have decided to sacrifice a HS figure this year for the tree...to be packed away afterwards in storage until next year. But which one??? Which one HS figure is iconic enough to proudly represent the whole game??? Years from now as my children pass the ornaments down to their children, what figure can capture the essence of such a large and meaningful part of this time in our lives?? Maybe it's not a figure at all...maybe a hex tile...maybe a glyph....a die???? Anybody have any ideas? Convince me! My grandchildren's future enjoyment weighs in the balance. |

Take a small tree from the forest set, take a 3 hex space, glue the tree too it, and glue a spare mimring to it

Well, Drake or Mimring would be best to represent Heroscape in general I suppose.

I'd have to go with Jotun. He would look good on a tree.

I am later going to hang the Izumi samurai, and the Tarns. I would also lie to put Ne-Gok-Sa up there with a santa hat and the marro warriors with elf hats. Dan's Mom: "Why you persist in acting like a fifteen year old is beyond me." Dan: "I'm filled with reckless desire." |

Why don't you glue a single grass hex to a single rock heck so the terrain is showing on the outside and put a string or something threw it and when it spins around it goes from grass to rock. It would even look like an ornament.

ornamental Marro.
It seems to me that a Marro Warrior should be the most "iconic" due to it being the one you see in many of the Heroscape displays, and on the MS box. Plus if you have multiple MS's then you have plenty of extra figs for the project. Merry Christmas.
ZODGILLA! Not bad monster. (Ten foot tall and bulletproof.) |
