Why won't your friends play?

Sheesh, I wish my brother would play with me during the weekends...At least you have a shot at playing him every week.
As for your dad, I dunno, my dad always makes the game more interesting like if his guy dies he'll make sound effects and then knock his guy down and start laughing or if he kills one of my units he'll make shooting sound effects and point to who got blown away.
You should be happy that your MOM of all people would even sit down with you and play against you. I bet she's happy just being able to watch you play and get some bonding time in.
Your sister just sees it as a "boy's game" you need to try and appeal to her the fun of the game, when you play your mom, tell your sister one of your girl units are her and that she's going to kick butt. Then when she sees you winning, she might give it a try.
Your friends would be interested I bet...But with all these video games these days, they're proly glued to that if they're not interested in playing with you

Just keep trying. My daughter (only 7) gets into heroscape because me and my son play all the time. She takes an all female army sometimes (and thanks to wave 5, that's pretty cool). She likes Braxas and Nakita and some WoA and she chants "girl power, girl power" as she wipes the floor with us. Even though she sometimes throws a fit when we shoot Raelin dead, she really gets into the game. Its not just a guys game! Can't your mother vouch for it?

In regards to playing your Mom, give yourself a handicap. For example, you play with a 300 point army while she plays with a 500 point army.

This might also be a way to get others interested in playing against you. If you’re slaughtering every new opponent you play, they’re not likely to be interested in playing again.

Is this the no avatar club? But, the only person who plays with me is usually my dad, and sometimes my cousin but hes usually not around. So i feel your pain.

Do a king of the hill match with her and give her complete height advantage and make it so she has lots of ranged units, then try and take the hill. You'll proly get slaughtered a lot, but at least she'll be winning and you'll have new ways of fighting up hill.

Well, that cinches it. You need to pack up all your HS stuff and send it to me.

Seriously, I know it can be hard sometimes to get a game going.

Why won't your friends play? Maybe if you set up a battle field and a few armies before the came over, and then let them choose which army they want

:edit for spelling...can't be a spelling/grammer gustapo if I let typos stand :

What I'd do is get the "quests of heroscape" they can add a bit of a twist to your game.

FINISH HIM!

If you know more about the strategy of the game, then give her pointers on how she could improve. Make her think about her next move, point out several simple ways that she could acheive a goal. Don't do it in a mean way, like "I know everything" just tell her nicely, that if she makes that move, then you'll probably kill her for whatever reason.

Are you guys playing the basic version or the master version? Once you play the master version it's a little harder to completely whoop someone's butt, because many figures don't go down with one hit.
