Re: Wave 15 Chat
I was wondering what the C3V designers would consider the "sweet spot" regarding the number of deathstrike thralls to include in a Nicholas Esenwein build? I'm guessing you would want as many or more deathstrike thralls as there are preyblood thralls.
Oh, and I had to ask. Why was the command courier's second ability named fleet footed instead of simply vanish 11? Is there some aspect I overlooked that makes fleet footed mechanically different than the vanish ability? Edit: Thanks awesomeunleashed, I meant disappearing ninja, not vanish. Nicholas --- 140/140 Thralls x12 - 360/500 13 spaces. With that army you can use any configuration of 30 point Thralls, so it's really up to you. You can play Preyblood x12, or Deathstrike x12. My favorite would be to go with x6 of each of them, as they serve different purposes. But going with more Deathstrike (as they are more versatile), you could do x8 Deathstrike and x4 Preyblood. But, of course, you don't need to go with so many Thralls, and could toss some other complementary units in: drop 4 Thralls for Raelin (SotM), 3 of them for a 90 point hero like Heirloom (to get you range/SA), ect. So I guess I'm trying to say that a sweet spot for the Deathstrike is tricky, but probably somewhere between 3 and 6, unless you're playing solid Nick/Thrall armies. So figure out your playstyle, and go from there. Re: Wave 15 Chat
If you're opponent has many heroes, then it's best to start with a few Deathstrikes to.soften.them up, and then follow with the Preybloods. If he has more squads, then Deathstrikes should be more than half of your army.

Re: Wave 15 Chat
I'd want to include some kind of ranged attack with that build, and then consider TW's post about the relative strengths of each Thrall and go from there.

Re: Wave 15 Chat
Meanwhile, the Ghost Walk aspect isn't added, so they can't Fleet-Foot through enemies nor engaged allies.
Spoiler Alert!

Re: Wave 15 Chat
Yes. It makes them a little easier to eliminate. An end-game when your opponent has nothing but Command Couriers can be frustrating when they're on a hot d20. All you have to do is corner them so they can't "fleet-foot" their way to a place where they're unengaged--then they can't use the ability.
