But they are all just mediocre shooters. Having one or two is fine for me, but until I see some awesome overhaul of graphics or game play, I will stick with what I've got. Also, I do not like seeing CoD being set in the future, as they have always striven to be as realistic as possible.

You do realize you just called just about every major FPS mediocre. Personally, I have loved every installment of the Halo Franchise and though I'm not a huge fan of Battlefield, I appreciate the series innovative multiplayer.

I guess my question for you is, if you don't like those, what shooters do you enjoy?

I guess I phrased that wrong. The game looks to take small bits and pieces from other games and mesh them together. And judging by the E3 preview the mesh doesn't work. But just one person's opinion.
