Re: Ryougabot is invading Baltimore
I have family in Baltimore, even if I live in NYC. They have amazing Seafood, especially crab meat. Also, there's a great Sushi place called Edo Sushi in the inner harbor, and the fresh crab used in it is delicious.

Re: Ryougabot is invading Baltimore
Will you still be here on Saturday, 5/19? If so, I have an idea, and it involves a Heroscape tournament...
Tell me where you'll be and how many days and nights and what your budget is and I will map out your whole gastronomic adventure. Eating and drinking is the best part of traveling, and you shouldn't waste a meal. Last edited by Dad_Scaper : May 11th, 2012 at 10:18 PM. Reason: steamed crabs & crabcakes, is the very short answer... C3V "Easily the best quality classic customs I have ever seen."

Re: Ryougabot is invading Baltimore
Ok, so the internet tells me you'll be at the Convention Center.
First of all, you will be right next to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Orioles are in the middle of a home stand this week, with evening games Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. They are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now and they'll be playing two other good teams, the Rays and the Yankees. ![]() You'll be next to the Inner Harbor, which features a bunch of eateries right by the water. The only one of those I like is Edo Sushi, on the second floor of the pavilion with the nicer restaurants (the one with The Cheesecake Factory, not the one with Hooters), the one pictured here: ![]() Your best bet for your gastro-tour will be walking down to the neighborhood called Federal Hill. For a real taste of Baltimore I'll recommend The Cross Street Market, which will be crowded and a bunch of food stalls where you'll be able to get things like oysters shucked in front of you and big plastic cups of beer. That kind of thing might be for you and it might not, but it's what I would do, maybe on a night I was by myself. Thai Arroy has an excellent reputation, at 1019 Light Street. Ryleigh's, at 36 Cross Street, is a popular seafood place. It would be somewhere a little fancier. I am a fan of www.chowhound.com, have you checked there? The key will be walking a few blocks south on Light Street, to Federal Hill, instead of east, to the Harbor. If you must go to the Harbor, try to steer people toward Edo Sushi or, if you must, the M&S Grill. If you find yourself wandering north into downtown, one of my very favorite restaurants in all of Baltimore is Mekong Delta, a Vietnamese restaurant at Cathedral and Saratoga streets. Fantastic food, closed on Mondays. If you can push your stay to Saturday, we have a 'Scape tournament in nearby Savage, Maryland. C3V "Easily the best quality classic customs I have ever seen."

Are those regular stops for your business travels? I have another Tucson recommendation if you will be around again.

Re: Ryougabot is invading Baltimore
Cross Street Market:
![]() Another place that's really popular is Abby's Burger Bistro, across the street to the north from Cross Street Market. They have a terrific selection of beers on tap, plus an awesome menu. That would be an excellent place to bring customers, if you don't mind a little noise. Very trendy, very local, delicious food and drink, not too expensive. Don't let them tell you at the hotel that Federal Hill is too far. Drive if you have to, depending on how ambitious you & your companions are. If food matters to you (it does to me, can you tell?), make it work. C3V "Easily the best quality classic customs I have ever seen."
