TrollBrute's Moderately Awesome Repaints (New repaint 4/24)

I recently got a extra D12 set, and set about repainting the uncommons. Add that to my older repaints, and I figured it was about time I got a thread up. Most of these are Heroscape figs, though some are from other games. Some of them have stats, and if I ever get around to testing them, you'll be able to find them HERE in our custom thread. Feedback is very welcome.

Viking Warrior:

This one can be found in our custom thread. Not much to say, he's a Tarn with the sword from another of the Viking Warriors:

Monk:

This is the first repaint I did, so his paint job is not the best. He's supposed to be holding a flag, but the flag piece fell off and I'm out of superglue right now. I'll get some pictures of him fully assembled when I get him fixed.

Monk 2:

The figure used for this one is an Indy HeroClix #40-42, Boon.

Syvarris:

This one doesn't change much, I just wanted to bring out some of the detail that the original Syvarris paintjob doesn't.

Marro:

A while back, my youngest brother requested a blue marro. I painted this guy up in an afternoon and it was the most fun I've ever had painting. He does have stats and I hope before long you'll see him in our custom thread. His name, also courtesy of my little brother, is Spout.

Mindflayer:

The first of my uncommon repaints, this guy is also lacking a comparison shot because he's actually the first Mindflayer I got and the other one has also been painted. The major changes are painting the sword hilts to stand out and a gold drybrush over the armor.

Warhulk:

My most recent repaint, an Ogre Warhulk painted to stand out big time from his red brother. I also changed the hair color and painted the ring on his back arm to match.

Golem:

A quick Iron Golem repaint. The sword is the most obvious change, but I also did a very heavy bronze drybrush. I think he came out pretty nicely.

Jordhawn:

I got an extra Elf Wizards set over a year ago for three bucks. I wanted it mainly for Ulginesh's wings (which I still haven't used) and decided to start messing around with the other Elves. After I took the fire out of Jordhawn's hand, her arm looked weird; I tried to turn it to another angle or find a spare arm that looked right but couldn't seem to find anything that worked. Eventually, my warped mind came up with a character for the figure that had lost an arm and I went ahead and painted her up. I'm a big fan of the Ashra, so color scheme wasn't a hard choice here. I have some rough design ideas for her that I hope to polish up soon and test. I also have a very rough Bio in my head that I'll try to post soon. Alright, rambling over, here's some pics:

Thanks everybody. I'm not as good as I'd like to be, but I do like the way some of these came out. And now I'm gonna have to come up with a Laffy Taffy Special Attack.

I realized last night that I forgot about one of my repaints, but I should have some more pictures up in the morning.

OP updated with a new uncommon repaint. I like this guy pretty well and I'm thinking about creating a separate card for him.

Nice! I love the golem! A simple drybrush can add SO MUCH to a sculpt!

And if you care at all, the monk figure you have is from Heroclix (The Indy set), not Mage Knight. I think it's called Boon. Don't know if you want a comparison, but there ya go!

It really can. It was a technique I didn't use at first, but I really love how much it can add.
