Latest Battle in Forest City, Iowa ( Tree Town )

Here I am pitted against the Heroscape Diva. It all came down to her FB Sir Gilbert and my last figure - a Dumutef Guard! The Dumutef Guard was only picked to round out my 700 point army ( glad he was there at the end ). I started out the game by using Brunak to carry Taylord near the high ground in the center of the map. then on the next turn Taylord flew up to the highest hex. On Heroscape Divia's second turn with Nilfeim she ended up rolling six skulls against Taylor... he dies and I never get to use him We go on trading blows she takes out a Minon about every other turn and I work on Jotun then I move on to Milfeim, I'm down to two Minions and that is just enough to take care of Q9. Now it is down to Brunak and her FB until she deploys her AE.. now they are taking shots at me.. Brunak runs around the board and takes them all out before finally trading punchs with Burnak for several turns... at last it ends with Sir Gilbert killing Burnak.. now Sir Gilbert and my lowely Duumutef Guard meet - luckly Sir Gilbert is baddly wounded and my Dumutef Gauard ( who was only picked to round out my 700 point army ) hits the knock out blow against Sir Gilbert. I WIN !

All my big guns could do was sit on the sidelines and cheer on our final hope - a Dumutef Gauard!

And yes ... I play other armies other than those Orcs....

Yea near the end when Burnak and Sir Gilbert were trading punch after punch for several rounds it seemed like no one would win. Then about an hour and half into the match Gilbert kills Burnak... and it was up to my last reserve ( with his single life ). Tomorrow we might try a Castle battle since I just bought my first castle & got Sir Gilbert " Free " at TRU.

Now that would be a frusterating loss.

Second place at TTO 3......feels good (except at school).

What are the Twolves going to do.

11-13-06 - Here I am again pitted against HeroScape Diva. I was going to try out Sir Gilbert and all these knights I picked up when I was buying swogs . Anyway she beat me to it so I went back to my old standby and quickly put together an Orc army. Thanks to an idea Revdyer came up we rolled an attack dice and and D-20 to determine what size army we would play.
Attack die blank = 400
Attack die skull = 500
D20 = roll * 10

We rolled a skull and the D20 was 12 so we came up with a random 620 point army tonight. I really like this concept to come up with a random point total for an army size.

I will not do a battle report as the photo kind of tell the story. I will say she killed Krug and Mimring very easily and quickly early in the game ( between them Krug killed one lowely Knight, but did give Denrick 4 wounds - didn't get my point value from them ). But as normal my arrow gruts and their swogs came thru and made up for it - untill the She droped her AE late in the game followed by winning initiative. The one thing my swogs and gruts seem to be allergic to are grenades.... just like kriptinite! Turned the whole game around

If they would have pulled it off and lived ..... they would have be around to fight together again, so no. I was refering to this being the last position they took... I was not going to be moving them again ( at least I didn't plan to ) as it turned out it was their final stand also.... strange things do happen when you roll dice... I was not going to give up.... however after my swog died and an arrow grut.... I did then concede the game to her with just two gruts left.

I have made last stands before with just two arrow gruts and a single swog and have won the game.... so it can be done.... this time the numbers were too great to overcome after losing my swog.

Braxas
Nilfheim
Jotun

I lost a several knight of course but there always was more to step in.
Sir Gilbert ended with just one wound and Sir Denrick came in at the end and suffered no injuries. The following are photos of tonights battle:
